Ran BOSS, game still crashes. Help with load order? I'm baffled.

My game was working fine except for a few minor bugs and visual glitches relating to Midhrastic ENB. But since I entered the mall, it started crashing more and more and now won't even load. Any ideas what I could change takeout to salve this game or start a new one?

You have exceeded the maximum amount of files you can load in the game. You need to get your load order below 130 files total. It could be more, depending on any texture enhancers you are using that do not show up in the load order.

 

A start would be to download and install the Paradox Iginition version of Mart's Mutant Mod and check Blackened for compatibility patches.

 

From the load orders I have seen posted here on the Nexus, LOOT will make a total hash of your load order and render the game unplayable.

M48A5 has evidently had a bad experience with LOOT - it is made by the same people that made BOSS and is intended to replace BOSS. The original name for LOOT was actually BOSS v3.0 - They changed the name because it was completely rewritten using a new way of ordering mods that doesn't rely on constantly updating a list to add in new mods. As far as I know that BOSS list is still being maintained, and BOSS is still usable. I have been using LOOT for quite a while now with very good results. The load order will be different between BOSS and LOOT, that doesn't make either one wrong as with many mods it really don't matter where they are loaded. Neither BOSS or LOOT is perfect and the authors say both are a place to START organizing your mods and not a fix everything program.
