Skyrim lag with texture and graphical mods

Hello, I'm having an issue with skyrim. I've installed some graphical mods to make it look close to realistic and it lags somewhat. I figured I'd get back into playing skyrim again now that I have a better suited computer for it. I'll provide a list of mods that I have installed. I've tried NMM and mod organizer to see if either one would make a performance difference and MO did run it a little better than NMM. Here's my specs

 

Dell XPS 8700

Inel i7 3.60Ghz

NVIDIA GeForce GT 720 1gb

8gb ram

Windows 7 64-bit

Bethesda hi-res optimized

Better dynamic snow

Cloaks of skyrim

Crimson tides

Elvenwood

Enhanced distant terrain

Enhanced night skyrim-color galaxy

Enhanced night skyrim-high stars

FXAA injector preset

Possessive corpses

Skyrim flora overhaul

Water and terrain enhancement redux

 

I've tried setting all of my mods to different priorities and it didn't help. I've been working at it for days now. I just want to play this amazing game and have it look great at the same time. If anyone has any suggestions for different mods that will do the same and won't lag, they will be appreciated. I am open to all ideas. Even if it means I can't use the beautiful graphical overhauls.

Your video card simply is not up to the task of texture packs.

I think it's because of your GPU, 1GB isn't enough

Would there be a way I could enhance the game in such a manner? Low usage mods? If not then that's ok but I'm just wondering if I have options

I think on that card, running stock resolution on your monitor, and vanilla graphics, and it will still be struggling...... Time for an upgrade is you really wanna play in that fashion. :D

Along with a lot of texture mods, and I am still able to play with 35-45 fps in open areas, and 45-60 fps in dungeons.

 

Have you tried using SSME to help with system memory?

 

EDIT: there are a few mods you may not recognize they are my own use.

I have not tried SSME. I haven't even heard of it before. But I will try it. Also, this is a brand new card in a brand new computer that isn't even a month old yet. The game runs perfect on ultra high settings with it just vanilla. It runs much better than the Intel HD 4000 in my laptop. But that's gunna happen period haha but maybe there's a way to accolate more usage from the integrated gpu as well and use both the card and integrated motherboard chip in unison? Maybe I'm just being a little far fetched but it's a thought

Remove Floral Overhaul and get ENBoost. Also, if you don't have SKSE get it, the memory patch is included and if you ever plan to use mods that need it you'll already have it. :)

 

There are also many, many optimisation mods on Nexus. Try Bethesda High Res DLC Optimised and Decrease That Grass. That will should help a bit.

Ok. I do have SKSE but either of the mod managers I have won't pick up on it. Though I haven't toggled the settings yet either. I do have the high res optimized mod. I'll mess with that. I do know of the expansive mod collection on nexus. I just don't have the time to try then all

You'll need the ini for SKSE memory patch to work. There are a few premade ones on Nexus. I used one of those because I'm fairly new and was a little confused. haha. I use MO, so it was just a matter of loading the ini as a mod and activating it. I'm not sure how you'd do it with Nexus Mod Manager, probably by adding it directly to your Data folder somewhere. The author of the premade ini should say on the description page.

 

I was going though my optimization mods to see what else you could use and others you might look at is Performance Plus and Skyrim Project Optimization. :)
