Brutal669x
Hello, I am a NOOb, no doubt about it...I purchased a decent rig to play games and after all the youtube videos ive seen, Id like to get the most out of these games that I can. I purchased Fallout New Vegas along with all its DLC....where do I go from here? What Mods do you recommend? I looked into the EVE mod, that one looks pretty cool, but I want to do this right rather than cause myself a lot of headaches. This is why I turn to you, the folks who have been doing this for quite some time and know what your doing. Thanks in advance for any help or advice. chucksteel
Well Get all the basics first, FOMM, (Fallout Mod Manager) or, NMM, (Nexus Mod manager) NVSE, (New Vegas Scrip Extender) FNVeditThese are all things you'll need to manage your mods and use some of the most popular mods. 4. Loot or Boss, (Well I don't use them myself but many people will tell you to get them to help with Mod load order.) Edit: 5. Don't just start adding tones of mods at one time! Take it slow, add a few and see how you like them and how your game plays! One issue many Noob's have is installing too many mods at one time and breaking there game 6. Read the Mod descriptions and install Directions! Another problem many noob's have is they don't RTFM! As for mod suggestions that is really up to personal taste so I would look at the Nexus Hot files and Top files and see what peaks your interest. Hope this helps. chucksteel
Well in that case People Love NMC's Texture packs It's nice but does eat up processor speed.

BadHeartSnake
Good luck, I'm a noob too and finally got most of everything down. It was a pretty fast learning curve, you'll get it down. Just watch a lot of tutorials on youtube, read everything and follow directions to a tee. Boy, I sure am glad I know how to read. I also suggest getting the mods you want to role-play with, things you've wanted to do in New Vegas but couldn't. For graphics, NEVADA SKIES is breathtaking. Changes the atmosphere completely. unknowncube
I was about to ask the same thing. I want to play NV vanilla first time, but I'd like to improve the experience. I've got a gts 450 (I know) and I5 with 8 GB of Ram. Would this be able to handle the increase in graphics?
RaPiiD38
FNV is cpu heavy and so are most enb's so you're probably much better off there than I am. However I don't think your gpu would be able to handle hd textures or lighting/weather overhauls that don't use post processing.
charwo
When you have some competence in using and installing mods, not very much is needed:https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLF6F122CB27A4C085New vegas mod clinic by gopherThe whole playlist is worth watching. That said, the first mod to axe is Nevada Skies. It's awesome, but processing speed can be a factor.
