LOL50015
So yeah, I will buy this game after being disappointed by Dragon Age, I don't even know how the hell it gets compared to Skyrim. So can new vegas use mods from 3 and vice versa? It's just that on many forums, they have subforums called fallout 3/New Vegas instead of 2 subforums for each one. Is there some good child replacer you can suggest? I haven't played it but I expect the children to look like potatoes. Can you suggest me other modsites for New Vegas? Is there some mega hair packs? Something along the lines of the 256 SG Hair Pack?
madmongo
FNV mods cannot be used in F3, and F3 mods cannot be used in FNV. Some mods can be ported fairly easily from one game to the other. Other mods can't. The two most popular hair packs are Mikato's and Ling's.
SlaughterWolfStudios
FNV and FO3 mods ARE NOT backwards compatible. Mods like ones that are weapon and armor mods are fairly easy to port but you CANNOT upload without the content creator's permission.
JoshBadWriter
A bit late to the thread (very late), but if you're still interested I can recommend a few mods. The best child mod is Children of the Wasteland. It basically changes everything about kids, making them playable, killable, changes their looks slightly, how they act, and adds some new child specific items and stores. There's also a version for Fallout 3 if I'm not mistaken. There are also some child companion mods such as Jocelyn and Alex Bradley. The best hair/beauty mod is probably Mikoto's Hair and Eye mod. It adds a lot of great styles, but is a bit too anime-y for some. If you're look for something more down to earth, I suggest Character Overhaul. It updates facial models as well as providing hair and eye models. In terms of other mod sits, there's always Mod-DB, but honestly I think the Nexus has the best mods around. charwo
There are tutorials on converting mods over from one to another. However, if the mod requires FOSE/NVSE you're going to have to be far and a way more knowledgable to convert it. I suggest NVEC with NV redesigned to make the characters look better. Don't know if it does children too.It does increase hair options IIRC correctly, and then there's Lings. Bear in mind many of the hair styles in Lings are straight out of anime and fit in Fallout as well as Twilight in the Horror section. But far less than Mikoto. JoshBadWriter
Have you downloaded 4GB New Vegas? It basically makes the game run better and get rid of the crashes whenever you got a ton of mods.
