Povuholo
AmazingChopin, your cell distance is really high. I'm not sure what distant static sizes you're using, or what kind of computer you have, but I think many people will get low framerates with such settings plus all those shaders unless they have a very powerful PC. :D I thought I'd post a little view distance comparison, so people can figure out for themselves what they want to use and how big the differences between the draw distances are. Vanilla view distance (looks lower than usual because I'm up high somewhere. Still, this is the maximum vanilla view distance.) MGE Draw Distance 4 Cells (My favourite to keep the old Morrowind atmosphere in place, while still offering a considerable view distance increase. Good performance too.) MGE Draw Distance 8 Cells MGE Draw Distance 15 Cells MGE Draw Distance 30 Cells Look at my map. My cursor shows where I am (Tamriel Rebuilt territory). The furthest you can see with a cell distance of 30 is from there until the mountain, which is the dark spot in the middle of the map. That's how far you're seeing, pretty much the whole island. :D My Distant Land Settings If you want Godrays like in oblivionMorrowind had them first. :P
Amazingchopin
@Povuholo Well, I thought it was normal around 30 cells O.o Thank you, that you've said here. I mean, wow I didn't know... Well, thank you for the explanation :) Amazingchopin

Grottmanuel
@Amazingchopin Thank you so much for all the information and help! You're a lifesaver! :) I got a final (hopefully xD) question though: have you got any mod for clouds specificly? I've tried Vurts Hi res skies but it doesn't seem to change the clouds at all. I followed the readme and installed major parts of SWG's skies v3 aswell before placing Vurt's meshes~ in Data files. Thanks in advance!
Povuholo
Grott: You could consider this alternative: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25676 It doesn't require any other files so it's pretty easy to install. Donnymaan
EDIT: Nevermind. I was using the version that was on TES NEXUS. Apparently that version is from bronze age. New version gives me FPS I would expect. Edited November 14, 2010 by Donnymaan
zero52135
It seems that my MGE has trouble asserting itself. I set my resolution to a higher one, since my laptop is at 1366x768, but when I start it up, it runs in the default 1024x768. It shows the FPS counter from in the top left, and other features work fine, so I don't know why it won't change my resolution.
zero52135
Found out my problem. After delving into the help section in the wiki, I started the Morrowind.Exe file itself as administrator and it works now.
boneyt
Im having trouble getting MGE to work, the first time I extracted it i copied it to the /morrowind/data files/ directory instead of just /morrowind so i went through deleted all the items and then reextracted it to /morrowind but it now wont completely extract. Amazingchopin
@boneyt Well,..... First you must reinstall Morrowind. Then download the latest patch*. And when you've install the latest patch you must download and install MGE 3.8.0 here on Tesnexus. Then download the latest MGE 3.8.2-rev.0178* (Overwrite all, when ask for overwriting) Please, follow these steps. I think it must work, If it don't... please say so.
