I have installed MGE 3.3.2 over the Morrowind with Tribunal and Bloodmoon. The program creates needed distant land textures, land meshes and statics, but when I try to launch Morrowind the error message appears: "Invalid Morrowind.exe". If I uninstall MGE, Morrowind becomes launchable again. I have tried to reinstall all components, to patch the game with BloodmoonPatch 1.6 and 1.7, but game still doesnt work. I dont know what else to do, help me! (The older version of MGE (3.0.3 ) works correctly on the same game :( )

Thanks again Timeslip for the most comprehensive mod I have ever seen made for a game! Now, as I'm fairly to MGE, I have to admit that it's quite overwhelming for a newcomer, nevertheless I will continue tweaking it until I get the best results that my hardware will be able to handle. The question I have is, how do you change view distance of objects, buildings, etc? Is that what the "statics" value refers to? I set view distance = 3, fog = 20, and I use fps optimizer. That utility will not let me see very far however, certainly nothing like the screenshots.

I've already scourged the Help file, and tried to sift through multiple MGE/IVD threads on ESF, yet was unable to find the solution. Granted, the solution must be a piece of cake, yet I came up empty handed in my search. Anyone have any suggestions, or better yet--a link to a MGE FAQ and/or configuration guide?

EDIT: Alright, I figured out how to get statics in game. However, I ran into a new problem that's rather bothersome. Morrowind continues to render a "clarity radius" around my avatar, that makes distant statics appear gray until a get up close. It was very noticeable when I emerged from the prison ship in Seyda Neen, as the trees right across the lake seemed to be covered in snow. Going into Option>Video>View Distance had an effect on this radius, as sliding it all the way to the left reduced the distance to which the trees started to look all foggy. I tried using FPS Optimizer to change the MW view distance value from 7168 to 14000 to no avail. Here is the link to my ESF thread on the subject:

Here are the corresponding screenshots that demonstrate this problem:

I have a Mobility Radeon X1600 GPU, with the latest 7.5 Catalyst installed.

After a long hour of frustration I managed to get it working. Once I figured out how to upgrade Dx9 things worked smoothly.

However, I have tun into one major annoyance. Whenever I wait/rest, afterwards it gets totally messed up. This water looks like well... not water, also everything is pretty dark unless looking directly at a light source.

The only way I can prevent it is by turning off distant land. (which defeats the whole purpose of having the mod) What shaders I have that are on/off don't seem to have any relation to the problem.

Any ideas?

I can't seem to resolve the troubles I'm having with the distant land feature on. But I still would like to use the other features of the mod. However, I can't figure out a way to get the old pixel-shaded water back. (I think it looks a lot nicer) It there a way to do this without having to reinstall the entire game?

I think the GOTY edition has the most recent version of Bloodmoon already. Did you read that this patch was a requirement in the readme or did it say this when you tried to start MGE? If it's the first you should just try.
