cpoindex
Recently I've been trying to retexture some skin. It looks just great in Nifskope but when I preview it in the GECK, it's all very shiney. I assume this is problem with the normal maps, because when I've made retextures before I used the vanilla normals and there was no shine problem. Am I assuming this correctly? Or what should I do about it? I used the Nvidia normal map filter for Photoshop, and tried XNormal... I'm willing to try other programs if that will make it better, or if anyone knows what settings I should use to generate the normals. Thanks for any help or suggestions. ub3rman123
Try applying a layer mask. It's under Layer>Mask>Add layer mask. Then select black (Full transparency). That'll remove the gloss. Wait, that's GIMP. Is it the same in Photoshop?
cpoindex
It should be the same in Photoshop. I'll give it a shot, thanks!
