KDStudios
Or just nothing at all.It doesn't need steam, It doesn't need DRM.The game is going to get pirated regardless. It's a waste of time.As soon as one is up on the internet people are going to use it, regardless of whether it works fully or not. The latest patch provided to us by the perfect steam system seems to have made the game a lot more unstable and crashes for people a lot more (Not everyone before you people go "it works fine for me"). The fact remains that the game is unstable for -most- people.Where as those who pirated the game now laugh at us because their game isn't patched and they can play it just fine. Because that's fair on us right? I have no problem with steam, I like it and it would be great if I was planning on playing multiplayer games on it or actually buying my games from it. But I'm not. All that will be on my steam is New Vegas. It forced the patch on me even though I turned off updates (confirmed for quite a few people). Now I have to leave it on in a hope a new patch comes out to fix these problems. It's just a pathetic excuse to be a pain in our good customers backside. But like the sheep we are, we have to put up with it or just not buy the game and go elsewhere like... Minecraft =PWe are not forced to purchase New Vegas. We had a choice to spend our money on something else, on another companies game. I just wish Bethesda/Obsidian would have thought about that before insisting we use steam. Our loyalty has betrayed us and now it's us good customers paying the price. Agnot2006
I spent £2k on a brand new hand built PC especially as my old one was struggling with F3 and NV was coming up, but finding out New Vegas needs Steam to run was a great blow. I don’t play games on-line, my games PCs are not connected anyway. So it turns out I spent all that money to play F3 easier. I will have to check out some other games by other manufacturers maybe after I finish with F3, shame.
gandalftw
I don't like steam ether,i still remember when you could go out purchase a game install and play. That was it no cd keys nothing just install and play. The pirating of games did away with all that and nothing has yet to put an end to pirating.Steam has done nothing but given the pirates a challenge and made it more difficult for those who pay for their games to play their games. What i'm afraid of is what is next on the horizon? What new policing system will gamers have to deal with if/when steam is deemed a failure? Seems to me steam actually encourages piracy. The user without internet access, the user that has had bad experiences with steam or GFWL might just give in and join the pirates. I had to laugh at the 1984 comment, that's the way it felt to me the first time i launched a steam and GFWL game.I felt i had Big Brother looking over my shoulders. I've bought several games from steam and haven't had some of the problems others are reporting, lucky i guess.I have had that message pop up that the game isn't available at this time.WHAT?I want to play my bloody game! >:(
