VileTouch
for first time i would add ars metallica. it makes a hell of a difference when you can just melt stuff down. oh and get a decent house/castle/tower/hideout/whatever with sorters. vanilla ones are underwhelming and far in between. oh and get yourself a temporary container that you can load on demand... like the bag of holding or something. it will spare you a lot of grief from the burden mechanics. TeofaTsavo
I will add one more thing re mods in general. Do a little homework. Check the dates and comments on any mod. Read the mod information. There are mods on Nexus that will show a huge number of endorsements and downloads that have been abandoned. There are newer, better mods that will not show the numbers of older, abandoned mods that were popular in 2012. notmyhome
So many people recommending Overhaul type mods when OP asked for something that DOESN'T alter gameplay too much... OP, if you're really looking for a compilation of bug fixes and graphic mods, I'd definitely recommend STEP. That guide walks you through properly installing mods and teaches you almost everything you need to know. Some mods will make slight differences, like Trade and Barter, but you'll probably see how much of an impact each mod will have when downloading and installing each one.
