Vagrant0
Trying to setup a mod so that there is a decent chance of people coming into contact with my NPCs. In order to do this, I'd like to get some people to describe their usual day in Oblivion, what cities they visit, what times they are near cities, what hours they sleep, for how long, ect. I'd also like to know what timescale they use, is it the default 30, or some other value to make days longer? Any information you provide should help be adjust my mod so that certain internal workings as well as key packages work properly for more people. Following this, I may have a alpha version of my mod available, and would need some people to try playing with it. The goal of the alpha test is to get some idea of how resource dependant the mod is, as well as it's compatability with other mods, in addition to putting to work information gained here. Current focus of the project is on Chorral and Skingrad, but will eventually include Bravil, Anvil, and Bruma.
cryocry
Not much to tell. I don't have a usual day. However, today I fought in the Arena, killed 3 minotaurs. I also went to Frostcrag Spire to do some serious enchanting.
Eother
Well, I like to wander about the mountains. Hmm...everybody likes to different things, so this survey might not work out. :)
Michelene
I use the default timescale, and usually spend my days doing misc. quests and looting forts in search of Shadowbanish wine. I only sleep when I'm ready to level up, and then only for the shortest amount of time (an hour) -- though I'm toying with the idea of downloading Vim and Vigor (so you have to sleep and eat regularly). I don't care what time it is when I sleep, since I only really take naps... I visit the IC most, because that's where all of the merchants I use most are located. I think I use the IC because I have a lot of mods based there, like merchants. You know, Edgar's and the Mystic Emporium; the improved theivery (mod) quests and so forth. I travel to other cities if I need to sell stuff fast, and if they are closer than the IC. I try to limit fast travel to emergencies (like a short-lived feather spell) and never use my horse anymore. I really only go to other cities for quests, and don't spend too much time in them, except for Skingrad and Leyawiin which I like to visit. I have Kumiko Manor for my house, which is decidely off the beaten path, so I don't spend a lot of time there, just when I'm in the neighborhood. I have Frostcrag spire, too, but only go there for the alchemy lab since it's such a hike up that mountain.. Hope this helps you out!
Vagrant0
It's all helpful, but that 30 timescale thing is looking to be a problem. Sure, when you have an NPC only moving 2-3 cells in a day it isn't too bad, but when you have one running between cities, or to a location it becomes one. Also becomes a problem when having an NPC running all the time just doesn't seem right. 1 Hour gone by in 2 minutes, 12 hours in 24 minutes, doesn't seem a bit fast for you guys? Do you think people would be opposed to a lower timescale, making those 12 game hours take 48 minutes realtime or longer?
sleaaels
Imperial City, Anvil (because i have a mod that give me a castle west of it), and the two cities with the white & black horse...they do die so very easily:( Otherwise its off exploring and dungeon crawling
10111010
Spend most of my time in Anvil and Bravil. I sometimes get mad and go on a killing spree. Then i have to open up the console and type resurrect resurrect resurrect resurrect and so on. I kill bandits in caves and i live in most of them on my travels. Even though i have a house in bruma. Nerivant
I spend most if my time in the IC Market District and Skingrad. I kill everything in Rockmilk Cave and Memorial Cave, which lasts till maybe 3 or 4 pm game time (I actually start at midnight, just for fun), fast travel to the Market District, take the cool looking things to my Skingrad house, wait until the caves reset, and do it all again. Oh, and the arena, Minotaur Lords don't slaughter themselves. Well, maybe with a frenzy spell, but thats another story...

Oh, and the arena, Minotaur Lords don't slaughter themselves. Well, maybe with a frezy spell, but thats another story... I have two saved games. First is a brutal male orc who spends his days in the Arena. I even hunt down NPCs who cheat on their wives. You can't tell their wives that their husbands are cheating on them so I gave justice... brotherhood way. Second is my fragile female breton, a mage, who spends her days collecting flowers, lol, and selling potions everywhere. Who said you must fight to make money or fight to level up? Lol.
