Guest deleted1946768
I've been suggested to use Wrye Bash to get Roberts Body (Male and Female) and Slofs Khajiit Skin working. Now, this may be wonderful advice... but, looking through the readme and such, I have absolutely no clue whatsoever as to where I get started. How do I get Bash to sit down and have Oblivion use the body mods and textures? I hear Bashed Patches being mentioned a lot but I can't find out how to make one, either im missing something in the readme or im just missing the obvious. :S
Hickory
The first thing you need to do is install Wrye Python -- Wrye Bash and it's libraries are built on Python. Once that is installed, all of the steps you need for installation and installation troubleshooting WB are laid out here. Help on creating your Bashed Patch can be found here. Hickory
Ok, I'm going to assume you have Wrye Bash installed as per the help file. Open your \Oblivion\Mopy\Extras\ folder in Windows Explorer and right click on Bashed Patch, 0.esp and select 'Copy'. Now go to your \Oblivion\Data\ folder, right click and select 'Paste'. Once you have done that, open Wrye Bash (double click on \Oblivion\Mopy\Wrye Bash Launcher.pyw) and find the Bashed Patch, 0.esp entry. Right click on it and select 'Rebuild Patch...'. Now, click on each box in the left-hand window, and if you see one of your mods in the right-hand window check it off, making sure the left-hand window option is also checked. As you go along, you will come to the Tweaks options. These are entirely optional, and don't depend on mods. Next, make sure that Contents Checker and Leveled Lists are checked. Lastly, check any of your mods that appear in Race Records. Now press the 'Build Patch' button and wait for your patch to be rebuilt. That's it. Guest deleted1946768
Thats actually made it worse, now I can't make a new game, it crashes every time the cutscene prior to character creation ends.
Hickory
In that case, it is probably your load order. You need to rearrange it with BOSS. Remember to run BOSS from the .bat file, and not the .exe file. Once you have run BOSS to rearrange your load order, you MUST rebuild your Bashed Patch again. Guest deleted1946768
Should I get rid of the bashed patch?
Hickory
Should I get rid of the bashed patch? No. You should rebuild it every time you add/remove/change/reorder mods.
Guest deleted1946768
Each time I rebuild it, I have to check all the stuff is checked in the left side, yet everything in the right side is unchecked except in the race section? Also I've set it up so Robets bodies are set to Body-F and Body-M, then Etheral Eyes as Eyes and Slofs Better Beasts as Hair. Should that help? Hickory
Each time I rebuild it, I have to check all the stuff is checked in the left side, yet everything in the right side is unchecked except in the race section? No. Each and every left side should be unchecked UNLESS it includes one of your mods in the right side -- then it needs to be checked. The exceptions are the tweaks, Cobl (if you're running it), and Contents Checker and Leveled Lists, which should always be checked. Also I've set it up so Robets bodies are set to Body-F and Body-M, then Etheral Eyes as Eyes and Slofs Better Beasts as Hair. Should that help? If you right click on the Bash Tags window (bottom right of the MAIN Wrye Bash window) and select 'Automatic', this will use the BOSS suggestions without you having to enter anything.
