ok, im a mod adict, im now board of other peoples mods, sooooooooo i started using construction set stuff for me. i am moderatly good at this. anyways.... im now working on a greet new idea that involves warhammer 40K. at the mo its top sectret and just an idea, but will work, its guna be soooo cool, now my problem is that all the meshes i make on 3ds max 7 and are then converted to nifs are invisable in game. how the hell do you give the nif a dds texture. if ur wondering, i do have paintshop pro x and a dds converter to retexture and if it is posable make new ones for my armour and stuff.

at the mo im not actualy doing the 40k thing because i havent leart how to sort out the dds problem.

so im just creating a mesh and trying to get it to work on oblivion.im sure u have seen the problem where you put on some clothes and they make u invisable instead of actualy seeing them (wow imagen if that happend in reality)

i have other problems.. :excl:

how do you get your custom nifs to have physics in the construction set. eg. my nif isent efected bye oblivions physics, so when u activate the physics, it dosent fall to the ground like normal objects on consruction set.

if u reply to this, i will inform u of the details of my 40k mod. and put ur name in the credits. thanks

perfer if u contact my email - [email protected]

First off, what are you using to convert to a nif file? If you're using the old one for Morrowind, this is probably why it isn't working. Second, there isn't an official .nif converter for Oblivion, so assigning physics can only be done by taking an existing mesh and replacing most of it with your mesh. Third, chill the feck out, and read some of the meshing tutorials here. That should help explain how to do everything.
