My character turns pink when attacked my spells

My character turns pink when attacked BY spells (sorry, typo).

 

Hello there,

 

As the title describes, I come across this rather weird problem. What I know so far is that certain spells TEND to cause this problem. For example: fire and shock-based spells. However, even when my character is damaged by these, she may or may NOT turn pink. In other words, it does not occur always.

Also, here let me show you the list of mods I'm using:

 

 

 

Note: I deactived Supreme Magicka, LAME and Deadly Relfex before making these screenshots. However, and as you can see, the problem persisted.

 

Any idea about what may be happening here?

Try disabling the BGMagicEVShader.esp and see if that helps.

Hmm your character turns pink when you are absorbing spells

 

DO you have a mod that enhances the magic shader effects ?

That's entirely normal.

 

Characters turn pink whenver they reflect or absorb a spell. This comes from two vannilla mysticism spells of varying levels, Xivilai do it automaticaly, as do Lyches from time to time. If you want it gone, either un equip whatever is giving you the reflectivity, or use a mod that reduces or alters spell effects.

I think Vindekarr hit the nail on the head here. My birthsign is Atronach, so I do have an absortion spell (set as an active effect in this case). Precisely because it is an active effect I never had to cast it in order to use it and, therefore, I never knew that when you absorb/reflect, you character acquires this pink color. Any way, mystery solved.

 

Since I'm not too fond of this effect though, I will try to find a mod that reduces/gets rid of it. I think SM's .ini had an option like this. Do you have any particular suggestion?
