Red ! Boxes

As I've downloaded new mods, every peice of added content is a fixed, non-interactable, giant red box with a white "!" in the center. As for backgrounf info, I use 1.7 patch and Windows 7. Along with Archive Invalidation Invalidated, not Fallout Mod Manager. All official DLC works fine. Just player-made content I've added recently seems to not work. Any solutions?

You're sure you have installed the mods correctly? The bangs you're seeing indicate missing meshes and textures, which can be caused either by not having archive invalidation, or not installing a mod properly.

Also check the comments of the mods you're having issues with.

If it is a common problem, it's the mod itself.

If it seems to be a problem on your own, you haven't installed the mod correctly and should do it again.

Making sure the textures and meshes go to the correct places.

Also MAKE SURE you have archive invalidation actually on.

I've seen people have it but not activate it for whatever reason and go through hell without realising it.

FOMM has it built in and is generally easier to use by just using one click =)

I've solved this problem, but whenever I add certain mods some things (usually super mutants) have thier textures go nuts. They usually take whatever texture is closest to them (like road or a bloody sledgehammer). Deos anyone know what mods cause this? Is it all or just mods with original textures and/or meshes? I don't know which becuase I'm playing 'nilla till I know for sure how to fix this. Oh yeah, anyone know how to stop this from happening?
