Mods making game crash at 'Please stand by'

So, I just updated a few mods, and now my game crashes at the 'please stand by' tab after a few seconds.

I know that there have been many threads like this one, but I haven't find one where it had happened due to mods.

Really hope that you can help me, 'cause I really don't want to reinstall everything over again...

So, I just updated a few mods, and now my game crashes at the 'please stand by'

that's the obvious place to start

 

so what mods did you update

 

and are they missing any parts

 

do their readmes say anything about not being able to continue an existing game with the change (some mods explicitly say that)

 

will everything work if you start a new game? (therefore its a conflict with existing save)

If the game worked before you updated some mods.

Untick or remove that mod you have updated.

Try the game to make sure it definately works without it.

If the game works.

Post a fresh install of the mod into your data folder

If it crashes after you've added it again, there is a conflict between that mod and another and I suggest you contact the author of the mod to find out what it could be
