P3G4SU5
CALL OF POSEIDON (Working Title) Features This project aims to add an entire quest line taking place after the events at the end of the Broken Steel DLC. Due to the fact this project will be adding to the Fallout 3 story, great care will be taken to ensure that the project stays true to the original lore and styles of the Fallout games. Ideas touched upon in the course of the Fallout games will be incorporated, along with some ideas which were never realised from Van Buren. Some questions relating to the east coast Enclave will also be answered in a satisfactory manner, whilst giving a nod to previous Fallout titles. The project will allow the player to visit brand new locations which will take visual concepts from Fallout 1 and 2, featuring detailed, expansive, explorable regions, allow the player to engage in rich dialogues with world characters and play in a variety of styles in order to progress through the story. It is my intention to eventually have the NPC dialogues fully voiced, however the primary focuses of the project at this stage are the further development of the story and the completion of the world locations. At this point in time I am in mid construction of the numerous locations. To this end I am currently looking for people with knowledge of the Fallout universe who are interested in being involved in the storytelling and quest creation process along with people who have experience in level design, texturing, mesh modification or those rarest of prized creatures - scripters  . As the project develops, I will be requesting further assistance from voice actors and eventually testers. If you have experience and are interested in filling any of these roles, please post your interest below. I hope this rather short outline will be sufficient to attract some of the great talent out there to join me in taking this project forward. Below I have added a timeline to illustrate the events leading up to, and commencing the quest line. General Timeline • Liberty Prime hit by orbital strike• Adam's AFB destroyed by orbital strike• Enclave forces left in initial disarray caused by leadership vacuum• Enclave's primary and secondary mainland commands destroyed (Adams AFB and Raven Rock)• Mainland units left leaderless, Brotherhood believes east coast Enclave all but destroyed• Brotherhood commences mopping up operations, eliminating pockets of Enclave forces --- Beginning of new quest line --- • BOS simultaneously attempts to replenish its numbers through wasteland recruitment• Brotherhood scouts report Enclave remnants mobilising and making unified withdrawal towards east coast• BOS doesn't understand Enclave behaviour • Brotherhood decides to investigate further, believing Enclave relocation to east coast is merely a directive in the event communication with Enclave leadership was lost, allowing forces to regroup• BOS sees this as an opportunity to eliminate the remnant forces in one place• Scouting team is dispatched to determine enemy strength, player chosen to join this group• Travel to east coast and discover Enclave forces in much greater strength than anticipated• Further surveillance reveals Enclave has dug in on coast and is airlifting forces away out to sea by Vertibirds• Player leaves scout team for debrief at BOS command - causes much alarm among BOS leadership• Brotherhood soon receives intel that Enclave are inquiring about the whereabouts of a Commonwealth scientist in settlements• Raises questions on why the Enclave would seek out outsiders• BOS command sends the player to locate the Commonwealth scientist before the Enclave and bring him in for questioning• Player finds scientist in time to see him being confronted by an Enclave squad• Scientist is then taken to BOS command for further questioning• The Commonwealth scientist has no idea why the Enclave were attempting to contact him, questioning reveals he is an expert on pre-war communications technology• BOS now even more confused/worried: 1. Where are the Enclave going?2. How are their numbers still so high?3. Where are the Enclave receiving their orders from?4. Why are they so interested in pre-war communications? • Brotherhood command concludes the only way to fully ascertain the Enclave's intentions is by infiltrating their ranks• In the meantime, Brotherhood leadership has received further intel from the scout team detailing Enclave activities in the area• Scout team have informed that new Enclave squads are reporting in every day from the wasteland and giving pass codes to confirm ID before entering the encampment and being transported by Vertibird• Brotherhood leadership begins formulating a plan• Commonwealth scientist is convinced to help Brotherhood and agrees to allow them self to be captured by Enclave in order to determine the Enclave's intentions and relay intel to the BOS• Player instructed to rendezvous with Scout team and await further instructions• Scientist stays with Brotherhood until player is in position with scout team - Brotherhood will ensure he makes his way into the Enclave• Player seeks out original scout team • Scout team advises player to ambush an Enclave squad trying to reach the extraction point and with the scout team's assistance obtain entry codes, allowing the player to pose as a last surviving member of the squad after a Raider/Deathclaw attack• The hope is that this cover along with the necessary pass codes will allow the player to gain entry without arousing suspicion• Player successfully infiltrates Enclave extraction area, meets a few characters before being flown to Poseidon Ocean Platform In the interest of keeping the gameplay interesting further events are not disclosed . I've attached a *small* selection of images below of various locations players will explore in the mod (note these are works in progress).
Johssy
Sweet mother of God... YES! YES! Modding is an art! I'd pay to play through this! I'm going to quickly assume there will be flaws such as no voice-acting (I don't blame you) and such, thus I wouldn't pay for it, but I sure as hell would play through it! I'm glad you like it  Eventually it is my hope that the NPCs will be voiced however that task will be done later in the design process. I'd add that this project will be around the size of an official DLC but will of course be released for free, as a thank you to Nexus site for hosting so many great mods, and to the modders themselves for making Fallout 3 that much better . P3G4SU5
It saddens me to say it, but without the necessary assistance from other modders out there this project is now at risk of being abandoned. I am currently completing a Biochemistry degree which will limit my input to the project during term time, meaning that I will be unable to complete this project alone due to the numerous skills required. Personally I would love to spend the time to learn how to script, texture and model but the reality of my situation means that I will simply not have the time to do this whilst being successful in the completion of my degree. For this reason I will repeat my previous request for people with experience in the following fields to become involved: storytelling and quest creation, level design, texturing, mesh modification and scripting. I may not need everyone in these fields to begin work straight away, there will likely be a staged use of each field starting with the level designers and storytelling and then leading to tasks where people in other fields will be required. However I must still know that there are people out there which will be available to help with the various aspects of the mod before it progress further. I have already invested an incredible amount of time to bringing this project as far as it has come, with research, level creation, and developing a feasible story which is engaging and will draw the player into the narrative. My major concern is that I put more time into it, only find myself in the position where a great deal of time and energy has been committed on bringing the project so far, only to have it reach an impasse due to restrictions to my modding knowledge and my lack of free time. I will keep this project open until I commence my academic studies again (sometime at the end of this month), if I still haven't received any offers of help by then I will sadly be forced to abandon it. So I implore you - *please* if you have the skills this project needs, get in touch with me either through this thread or by PM. Even if you not an expert in the field still get in touch and let me know what kind of things you can you. I feel it would be a great loss to the community if this project was lost. My hopes lie with the community now.
Nadin
I can't help--too busy with my own project(WHICH PEOPLE WON'T HELP WITH) but I like the structural work you've done. Hope it works. If you want people to help, you must get their attention. Try releasing it as a WIP and say you need help to get it finished. Be sure to play it up--lots of pictures, colored text, Etc. eLucifer
I'm not much of a modder but I can help you with story improvement, interior decoration and voice acting issues.

Thanks for the advice, I'll definitely take it into consideration. Incidently - what kind of help are you needing in you own project? PM with some details and I'll see whether we might be able to help each other out. I'm not much of a modder but I can help you with story improvement, interior decoration and voice acting issues. I really appreciate it eLucifer  , now we just need a few more people with the right skills to get onboard and we can get this project moving. Nadin
New models, mainly, and people who can create buildings with navmesh and such. Scripters. Some voice actors. People who know how to handle dialogue and quests. You get the picture.I'm hoping the first release gets enough notice that I can have some help with the second. Quetzlsacatanango
I think, instead of throwing out a net and hoping to catch something, you guys would be better off asking for specific help from specific people who you know can do what you need. I have had good results with that when I have needed something and lacked the skills to do it.
