This is just one of the mods that won't work for me the only and worst thing that happens is whenever I start up oblivion it closes for no reason, as soon as it gets to the bit where it says: "Bethesda Softworks" it just closes,

no note, no troubleshooting suggestions, zip.

Please help.

Ps. Yes, I do have "Shivering Isles", "COBL" and have downloaded Hammerfell.

So PLEASE HELP... again.

When Oblivion refuses to start the way you are describing that is typically because of a missing Master File. However, Hammerfell does not use a Master File. The game also behaves like that if you have too many mods installed, so tha is the only other thing I can think of.

However, as a general warning Hammerfell conflicts with nearly everything because of the way it was constructed. He imported a heightmap of the region; this flags Every cell in Tamriel as having been modified. There are some really Weierd conflicts that nobody has been able to adequately explain. In my version I attempted to remove edits from unnecessary cells, but there are a Lot of them. And, Hammerfell conflicts with Stirk. Hammerfell puts a (very beautiful) island in Exactly the same location as the island of Stirk.

That depends on how badly you want Hammerfell. I wanted it pretty badly so I kept trying. However, when it conflicted with Stirk I had to make a choice; I chose Stirk. I am also fluent with the CS and Tes4edit, and am able to edit mods to try to make them work.

Hammerfell is absolutely beautiful, but is also Absolutely anti-lore. If you are a fan of TES Lore, then stay away. This mod basically populates the area with about 85% Female/Amazon NPC's. There is a lot of really beautiful armor and a lot of really beautiful modding. Hammerfell is supposed to be the homeland of the Redguards...

Hammerfell confilicts with almost everything, so making it work will be very involved (but generally possible; Stirk is an oddball exception).

And, this does not explain the game not loading, unless as I said, you have too many mods installed. Oblivion apparently has an absolute limit of 255 mods because it assigns a two-digit hexadecimal prefix to each mod as it loads; when it runs out of prefixes it stops trying to load.

If this is not your problem, try using the conflict detector in Wrye Bash or OBMM. You can also try setting your load order with BOSS. You should also post your full load order.

You, still didn't answer my question... LOL!

But I want Hammerfell pretty badly, I long to explore unknown lands, or at least to me.

If I do get it working how do you actually get into Hammerfell itself?

Ps. Does Hammerfell work with all the DLC?

EDIT: Does it work if you just disable it in the data files or do you have to delete it in the data folder?

EDIT, again: I tried disabling every single othe mod and it still closed.

I did not answer because the answer depends on you and your level of expereince with the CS and/or Tes4edit.

I do not know how to solve your "Unable to load" problem so I recommended all the mods to try to diagnose that first. It doesn't matter how beautiful Hammerfell is if you can't play the game!

Does it work with DLC? Let me say this again, Hammerfell conflicts with ALMOST EVERYTHING! EVERY cell in Tamriel is marked as having been edited by Hammerfell. To fix this, you need to delete all these "changes" so they stop conflicting. This is easy enough to do in Tes4edit. The challenge, is not to get carried away and delete too much. This would require tracing the border of Hammerfell, deleting anything outside wile leaving everything inside. Realistially, this would only take a few, or several, hours of intense work, so is not as bad as it sounds. I was in the process of doing this when I realized that it directly conflicts with Stirk, and there is no good way around that, so I stopped and unloaded Hammerfell.

There are a couple of boats in Anvil and on the coast that will take you to Hammerfell; you can also just follow the road; Hammerfell is "part" of the world, not a separate worldspace, so go west far enough and you will eventually run into Hammerfell.

No, not frustrated at all, and I'm sorry if you got that impression. I was only trying to emphasize the scope of the problems, and while it would certainly be possible to fix them, it would not be easy.

As far as Province Mods, there is an entire section on Nexus devoted to "New Lands" and another devoted to "Quests and Adventures." There are Hundreds of mods between them. Just pick one--or a dozen--that strike your fancy.

To go any further with Hammerfell, you will need to post your load order. One of the links I gave you has instructions on how to do that.

I did give you a step by step guide

My recommendation is to download BOSS and OBMM from the links I gave you in my second post.

Run BOSS.

Then use the conflict detector in OBMM, although Hamerfell is likely to cause a LOT of conflicts :whistling:

Then, if you still can't get it to work, post your load order here.
