I am doing the quest with the Bravil prisoners who escaped, FAQs tell me to talk to an NPC with a disposition of 60 or more to get clues, but noone in town has had a topic about "Prisoners", and I have a personality level of 60 :glare:

personality and disposition are two different things. Personality is determined by race, and how much you've raised it every level. Disposition is based on personality, but also factors in race, faction affiliation, and various actions like having weapons out while talking, stealing, trespassing, persuading, or bribing. Try bribing some of the people nearby to increase their disposition and making sure your quest stage is correct. You might want to start with people who you think might know something about prisoners.

I dropped my personality by 10 to 50 but most people around town had a high disposition and thus I still saw no "Fugitives" topic....

My guildmates in Bravil had a "fugitives" topic but they said they can't/wish they could help and said I should ask around town

Character is an argonian female crusader in her mid 20s levelwise.

A Journeyman of Illusion with access to an Altar of Spellmaking can create a Charm spell that offers a high magnitude for a very short duration (you can probably achieve the neccessary ends at Apprentice level, but Journeyman pretty much guarantees it).

Given that time 'stops' when you enter into a conversation with an NPC, you only need a Charm spell that lasts a few seconds. That short of a duration means you can tack 80-100 to an NPC's disposition for as long as you need it— helpful if you get sick of the Persuasion minigame or don't bother with bribery.

You need to check that the quest is active. Occasionally you get info but the quest does not show in your journal, check that first or go back to the quest giver and talk again to make sure you have ALL the info. Once you have, the guards (any of them) will answer your question if their disposition is 60 or higher.

From what I see when I checked, it's not active but on current quests..I did speak with the orc and he didn't give out much information the second time, and I don't know wtf is going on I just want to proceed with the fighters guild quests (have been doing mages guild quests for the time being).
