Since most people should also be using Wrye bash, Open Wrye , on the mods tab (lower right ) it shows the count. looks like ...215/225

Do not know any place in MO that shows the "count" but what i would do is....

In the MO "profiles" folder for your profile find this file .."plugins.txt" Open it in Notepad++. Notepad++ should be showing you line numbers... :smile:

=======================================

EDIT: that was a duhhh moment..just opened MO and saw the Error of my ways.... :smile:

IN MO ...in the right side pane "Plugins" tab. you see it says "Priority" , & "MOD index" the priority count IS the count of mods, For me it will be a few off , as i have a few mods that are "merged" into the bashed patch.

Both sides of MO have the "priority" heading. left side would be the count of "mods" right side would be the count of "ESM/P's so for ME...

Mods (left side).....292

ESM/P's (right side) ...217

Rock solid...The limit (255) is for what would be listed as "plugins" on the >>>>Right side of MO. i am under the max, as i have 215. The other side of MO, (<<left) is the mods , and a bunch of my mods do not have an ESP, so they don't count toward the total. that is how i can have 292 mods...:) No crashes, this is the second build with 200+ mods, thru MO, the first one i sadly retired at 200 game hours to build a Load Order based on Perkus Maximus.

I think worth it..Perma is very rewarding.

ESP = Elder Scrolls Plugin

ESM = Elder Scrolls Master

Both of these are what is considered "Plugins" and count toward the maximum of 256 . Some mods do not need to have an ESM or ESP , Texture only mods for instance, so these kinds of mods would not count toward the maximum. That is how i can have nearly 300 "mods" and only 215 "plugins".

Could someone please create a mod or request mod creators to make one that enables achievements while using Skyrim SE Mods Organizer for Skyrim Special Edition which will work with or without Steam? NMM only allows 255 mods max to run at a time & any more installed will cause the game to crash preventing the game from loading. Is there a program anywhere that enables achievements on TESV-SE Skyrim-SE Mods Organizer? I cannot find one anywhere! I like having mods organized inside into separate folders instead of having them all dumped into the data folder making it hard to remove them manually causing me to dump the game & reinstalling it all over again. I tried to start creating one on my own, the problem is I cannot get all the necessary programs to run on my Surface pro three.
