NPC Accuracy

I was looking for a mod that changes the NPC's accuracy as an archer, and I couldn't find any, so I was wondering how hard a this mod would be to make. It always bothered me whenever I encounter archers, they were dead on balls accurate as long as I was in view.

If someone could make or find a mod that would lower their accuracy with the bow, or even create a chance to hit like in Morrowind, many people including me would be very grateful. This mod would be great for gameplay and immersion. It isn't fun to get filled with arrows whenever an archer sees you, and it isn't realistic for every Tom, Dick, and Harry to be as good of an archer as Robin Hood. This is the last thing I can think of to complete Oblivion after downloading and installing a ridiculous amount of awesome mods for the last 24 hours (minus sleeping/eating ect). Love you guys....

Thank you! I hope it is just an easy little tweak. I'm starting a new dark elf character who will be an archer and magic user using the arcane arrow mod. This would really REALLY add to the game since I'll be engaging at a range.

A beautiful forested valley lies stretched out before the horizon, dimly lit by the waning sun. Smoke strayed up into the sky coming from a small camp located in a clearing just past a rock covered hill. The shapes of 3 bandits can be seen around the fire, one resting, and two feasting on freshly cooked venison from a deer they killed earlier that day. This would be a difficult engagement for most, but Lilith knew this would be almost to easy to enjoy. She was invisible among the rocks on the hilltop, watching her prey eat, completely oblivious to her presence. As one stood up to get another bottle of beer, he saw a flash of red out of the corner of his eye. He could do nothing but fall backwards as the destruction magic seared into his chest and through his heart. Before the second bandit could get up, or even drop his chunk of venison, another arcane arrow arced above the treetops and into his left eye socket. The sound of him falling on some stolen goods was enough to wake up the third bandit. This bandit was the revered orc highwayman Graman gro-Burbog, who was wanted for several high profile robberies he and his group held in the last few months. His achievements meant nothing as Lilith slipped within 10 feet of him and conjured a spell. He had no time to get to his massive steel warhammer. He was defenseless. As soon as he took a step toward his weapon, Lilith hurled a ferocious ball of magic that left a trail of fire until it reached his stomach. Graman fell to the ground in large chunks of muscle and bone all across the camp smoking from the powerful spell that had just tore him to pieces. Another day, another dozen souls collected. She had nearly enough souls now. Just a few more days, and the land of Cyrodiil would bow before her unstoppable power....

This would be almost as difficult to achieve as it would in the story. It would take some serious time to level up enough to insti-kill people, and aiming with the bow sway mod is friggin' hard. I would probably miss the first guy. Nobody would react to the near death experience since the mod that makes people react to missed arrows and spells is incompatible with the deadly reflex mod. :pinch: The ragdoll physics from physics and force mod are pretty convincing, and could make the enemies fall in a realistic manner like one would imagine. The arcane arrows are from arcane magic mod, and the spontaneous combustion spell at the end is from deadly reflex. I like this game, but I love the mods. You modders make games complete, and give those of us who couldn't get through the steep learning curve our dreams/fantasies/fun.

Nice work on the prison mod so far btw. I happened to come across that thread before I posted.

Thank you Bee! I can't believe I turned into one of THOSE people who request for already made mods. I searched for everything but miss I guess.... I would have sworn I searched for that too. 24 hours of modding can mess with your head a bit (-sleep/ect). I'll see if it is compatible with the other mods I'm using, and also how well it plays. The duke is good, too bad some d-bag claimed his work as is own and made the duke quit modding. I still want to try his hypothermia mod, but having to make an account so I can pm someone who probably won't respond is a little too much.

Thanks for looking Lord Frostcraig, I appreciate your efforts too. I may need some help with this mod. If I have any problems, I'll come back to this thread. Kudos to both.
