Tiber Septim Hotel crash

So... I heavily modded my Oblivion and started a play-through from scratch.

 

Was in the middle of doing a quest for the Dark Brotherhood (the one you have to kill the guy in the Imperial Palace).

I found out he is staying at the Tiber Septim hotel and when I tried to enter the hotel the game crashed.

 

I started the game again, went to the hotel again and crashed again.

 

The crash happens right after the loading of the interiors finishes. When the image would appear.

 

The mods I have and their order are as follows:

I tried deactivating all the interior mods but did not work. I do get other crashes occasionally but not repeated like this one.

I used BOSS to make the load order.

 

Any ideeas? Short from disabling everything to go in?

 

LE: i disabled every mod except the character mod XRaces and managed to get inside. Inside were some Estrus Ropes hanging around. I am not sure if this caused the crash. Maybe there are some conflicts in these mods that I don't know about. If the Estrus ropes were the ones that caused the crash should I expect a problem every time I use the spell?

This happened to me in a previous game a long time ago, although I was not in the Dark Brotherhood at all, and not doing the quest.

 

I would get a Crash upon attempting to enter the Tiber Septim Hotel exactly as you are describing. That has not happened since, although I am always still lerry and make sure I save first before trying.

 

We have absolutely ZERO mods in common! Except for SI, if you count that as a "mod," and I do have the resources for Ren installed, but not the mod.

 

 

So, my guess is that this is not a mod conflict but a problem with the game itself. Just to see, try disabling all mods and going in.

 

 

I never did figure out what was causing my problem, and just avoided going into the hotel for the rest of the game.

I didn't used to crash there...in fact I went in there a few times to make sure some companion mods were there... and a few days ago it just started giving me BEX c000000d crashes for some reason. The only thing I think I changed during that time was my video card (I had to, the other one died...) and this is the first time I've ever had BEX crashes...but it pretty much happens on Tiber Septim Hotel only. I tried reinstalling but that hasn't worked either.

 

Edit: And now it happens anytime I try to go to Skingrad in the daytime...what the hell...
