Annulling negative approval for companions?

So no mods that can keep a party member from leaving after a critical choice?

Only the same one as most other mods use: "Toolset".

(See last line of Post #3, above)

Sorry :pinch:

Meh, it's no big deal. Just kind of annoying to have to train up Morrigan as a healer if I kill Wynne >.>

Try the Dragon Age Beguiler it's amazing how a simple two or three click cheat can ease that annoyance :whistling:

Well, I can confirm that, on my rig and with my saves, the FeastDay Gifts and Pranks will result in the expected gains and losses to Approval, and that the plot talents associated with those changes get applied. (Repeatedly, if you give-n-take-n-give-n-take...)

BUT, (also as expected) the critical Relationship Status does NOT get flipped from "Friendly" to "Love" just because of the newly acquired high approval total.

(Oghren, though, is awful funny at 90+, I'd never had him there before! )

So they won't actually fall in love until you complete their quests?

I'm not (yet) a modder. In fact, just yesterday I (finally!) manged to get the Toolset (or "toolcrap", as it seems to be known around here  ) installed correctly on my Win7/64 rig. (Note to self: Add an entry on DA Builder's Wiki to alert folk to the incredibly loooooong "nothing seems to be happening" phase of the installation. In more than one past attempt I got too impatient, resulting in --> :wallbash: )

But I'm thinking that the relationship state ("Warm" vs. "Interested" and "Friendly" vs. "Love") has two components: one Approval-level based, and the other plot-flag based. The FeastDay stuff can only effect the former, while the latter depends on certain events and actions occuring.

I have no idea if "The Beguiler" can effect both or not.

In my experience the love kicks in differently for all of them.

Alistair needs at least +50 and possibly his mother's amulet (there may be more, it has been a while.) I do know that once you get him in the sack you will get the rose the next time you speak to him.

Morrigan: +60, Mirror gift, do the deed, Black Grimoire.

Leliana: +50, the deed, personal quest.

Zeveran: +45, the deed, threesome/foursome at the Pearl.

Dog: PC must be alive.

While the Relationship Status won't change to "Love" at the above Approval values, those are the minimums to trigger the PQ (Personal Quest) for the NPC involved. And in the case of two of them, our Warden can "do the deed" indefinitely without getting them to "Love"! (Although it does take quite a while for Zev to stop granting more Approval each time! )

On the other hand, in more than one case the Warden can zoom to the "Love" stage WITHOUT "doing the deed". So above the mins, it's the PQ that really matters. (Hmmmm, sounds like RL! )
