lovender
Please...i've waited for so long to see my character (with DMGUTS body replacer) equipped with the adapted steel cuirass... I tried Growlf's Body resizing mod to self-adapting armor to the body, but since the wightpainted body from BBB mod didn't work on my PC, i decide to work the meshes manually. But i tried to follow tutorials from cs.elderscrolls website & it's hard to follow. Please if u can give another tutorials about how to adapt armor to body manually through Blender, let me know...Gonna give Kudos for the help...thanks
LHammonds
Article: Rigging / Skinning in Blender Those are the articles that I know about. It isn't a list of how to adapt armor/clothing to different meshes but weight-painting might be necessary depending on the situation. I'll do a quick search to see if I can find anything specific to adapting meshes to different bodies. lovender
Hi, LHammonds... Glad to receive a message from you...I saw that you're in Top 25 NEXUS members. Yea, about the link you gave me; Bender/Adapting Armor to Bodies with Lattices,i followed the instructions a long time ago,but stuck in some step....it's been said that adapting armor to body with lattice is for an advance modder. Actually, i was hoping to find another tutorials (the easier-to-follow, i mean). Sadly i'm not a 'real' modder yet....i mean, i often cut & edit meshes through Blender & NifSkope (that was fun!), delete & paste meshes over here, there & everywhere. Sometime, when i try to learn a mod, i have nobody to ask.Maybe i'll PM you sometime...ok? Thanks for your info.I'll learn hard to be a modder! Kudos to you... LHammonds
Well, there is another way. I do not use a lattice. I just use the grab tool with an area of affect so I pull one vertex and 50 others around it are affected at the same time. Probably not the best way to do this but I was able to use it effectively without distorting the texture. I know there is a video tutorial on it somewhere about how to use the tool...but it was not specifically for adapting armor/clothing...just a general use video. You basically turn on "Proportional Editing", grab a vertex and press "G" to start moving that vertex and all the ones around it. You use the mouse wheel to adjust the area of effect size. Once you import the armor, delete the body parts, import the new body and start nudging the armor/clothing so it matches the new body...then cut away the unseen skin and you're done. lovender
I'll start the adaptation soon then, LHammonds...Thanks...if there's another questions from me, please do not hesitate to answer, okay? Thank u so much!
LHammonds
FYI - We now have a 3D Modeling section available for topics such as this.
lovender
Hi, Mr.Hammonds.... I managed to move the vertex with proportional editing. But did you know how to get the exact same size between the left side & right side of the body?I mean, when i edit the left breast, i can't get the same size for the right breast. So, what should i do? Thanks...
