alonsomartinez
Do you even have the proper permissions to use it
LHammonds
Do you even have the proper permissions to use itNot necessary since LordFrostcraig said it is for personal use. And I don't think LordFrostcraig means "re UV Map" since changing the weapon from 2-handed to 1-handed has nothing to do with UV mapping (mapping model coordinates to a 2D image texture). LordFrostcraig, if you are able to scoot around in the CS, you might be able to do this yourself. Use NifSkope to open the desired NIF files. Find the string data that says "BackWeapon" and change it to say "SideWeapon" and save it. Then go into the plugin (or create your own) and set the weapon to be 1-handed and this might be all you need to do...if not, it may require importing into Blender to fix (such as re-positioning to align the hilt to the hand) LHammonds
alonsomartinez
Oh well in that case why dont you do it yourself LF Its really easy to do All you have to do is import the sword in Blender , hit export and change the weapon value to side instead of back You can also do it in nifskope but I think this way is faster
LHammonds
All you have to do is import the sword in Blender , hit export and change the weapon value to side instead of back Don't forget there are 2 parts to this equation. 1st part is to edit the NIF file, 2nd part is to change the setting of the weapon inside the plugin from 2-hand to 1-hand. Deleted1848331User
I'll try it doing what LHammonds said. Although I might be able to do it in blender...
Deleted1848331User
Wont work, when you put the swords as one hand they crash Oblivion, for now Ill just leave them alone lol.
LHammonds
I was curious so I downloaded the weapons. As soon as I look at them in NifSkope, I immediately see some strange oddities such as unassigned textureproperties and strip data. Looks like the swords were not created and exported properly. I'll see about cleaning them up. EDIT: Done. Not only was the NIF structure cleaned up, but a pretty good reduction in file size too. I also used convex collision from a super low-poly version to give it a much better feel when dropped on the ground. Well, that's the idea anyway. Deleted1848331User
Thanks LHammonds. The oddities might be why it crashed oblivion to put em as one handed.
