Palandiell
Hey, I am not the greatest char creator, with male chars its easy though to give em a rough, good look. but with females its a problem. if you ever make them try to look nice and cute, my char turns out to be really weird (especially with the nose) When i went through a few mods I found this char that I really like, its from the tailor maid mod http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/5424-1-1252683779.jpg http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/images/5424-1-1251996585.jpg How can I get my char to look like that? i have the face gen exchanger ( I think I remember how it works) but How can I get that face on my char? please help me! Yossarian22
How can I get my char to look like that? i have the face gen exchanger ( I think I remember how it works) but How can I get that face on my char? I guess you would have to contact the creator of tailor maid if he like to share the face. Otherwise you can find some pretty faces here: http://www.fallout3n...ile.php?id=1647 -- Also, you can't create pretty faces with the chargen. It's just impossible, because many important sliders, that are available in GECK are missing in the Chargen. Like you said, for the nose. You can't make a good nose in chargen, because the slider for the nasal bone is not available. So, you need to create a pretty face in GECK and mark this charakter as a new present. I think it's the only way to make good characters on your own.
Vindekarr
He is exactly correct. You'll need to download someone's else's GECK work or make your own. no other way exists. Fallout's character generation tools in game are pathetic, only Mass Effect has worse tools out of modern games, so you have to use the devtools or simply go without. Palandiell
But how did the maker of the tailor maid mod manage to make such an amazing character then??? and for the mod you posted above, how can I use the faces that were shown as images in that mod? I think it's the only way to make good characters on your own.I disagree. All of my characters have been made through the CharGen, not the GECK. I make them purely from using the Randomise button until I find a face I can work with, then tweaking to get 'just right.'Of course, it helps to have a nice face texture. I use the one from Dimon's race mod. Not the rest, just the face texture. My first few (before mods started being made) were just presets. I did a couple in the CS for Oblivion, but never in FO3. It was all ingame CharGen. The one in that image (first one) to me doesn't look like it's using much of a custom face texture. It looks vanilla to me. Or if it is using one, not anything that changes the original too much. To make a nice face you don't need the GECK, just patience :smile:It is definitely not impossible.
