was anyone else beyond confused by the conversation with Morrigan infront of the mirror ? I had killed her mother & consented to the ritual, but in her conversation threads I'd have denied the ritual, had a son with her,not killed her mother, killed her mother. did anyone else experience this was I just unlucky. I've started a new campaign from scratch ( was only just out of lothering) when I downloaded the DLC so I'm gonna see if that changes anything , maybe because I'd finished all the stuff on my other char before I DL'd witch hunt the DLC didn't read the quest tags properly or something.

Seems to occur specifically when your Warden came (directly, or via DA:A or GoA) from a DA:O Save that was created AFTER the DA:O Epilogue scene. That seems to put all of the Morrigan/DR settings to their default game-end states.

Dog only became a favorite of mine after I discovered the "Extra Dog Slot" mod, and I probably wouldn't have kept him around even then but I found "Full Combatant Dog" at the same time. That puppy can really fight now, I tell ya'!

So he's been hanging with my PC for the past several playthroughs, and he and Morri came to a "As equals, let's just keep our distance, shall we?" understanding. And since at the point in WH when she sees him she knows she's really, REALLY leaving, I thought the pets fit wonderfully!

And, since this thread is specifically about that part of the DLC, here are some more thoughts.

Two elements really caught my heart.

One only occurs if you accompany her. (And the fact that, since as early as asking her to teach others to be Shapeshifters, it's always been "up to her" is not lost on me.)

The other only occurs if you don't.

In the first: She repeats, but with a hint more... what? Sadness? Surprise? Surrender? (It's hard to tell, and I think one hears what one wants to hear. I know I did.) the same words she uses to begin the DR:

"Come, my Love..."

In the second: She's gone. You're left standing. But not alone. The others head off. You look over to your Mabari... and nod.

No words, just that. And then you two leave, together.

I found that to, Thandal. My first was with a king, DR, with Leliana mistress. Morrigan still shows regret about leaving him behind, and even hints that wants to tell him about their son, but cannot for reasons known only to her. There is a regret and sadness, and even more when you offer to leave with her. My second was with my female Dalish that was only through Lothering, so it was assumed I refused the DR, but we were still friendly. (Warm approval rating imported over) I even question her about betrayal to see what she would say, and I was surprised at the mutual betrayal lines that came up. ( I left, and you refused my offer of help) And yet in that there was still a ping of regret that was not vocal, but emoted in her facial expressions.

And that simple nod for Chopper to follow the companions was very well played. Like he wanted to stay, but the relationship between him and the warden was deep enough for simple communication to move on. The small look at the mirror was well placed for both characters I played. I want to get a romanced character over now to see what she does then. Fortunately I have one save game from an earlier mod testing that I can load to see just that.

The final conversation had me interested right until the end when I said, "Well that sucks..."

Character was a knife eared human noble married to Anora but in love with Mori. Loghain did the sacrifice so there was no DR. Seems the DR wasn't necessary for Mori to give birth to my character's son. Exhausted the dialogue, followed Mori into the mirror and BAM - the credits. No flash of light or swirling colors, nothing to even hint at the magic in use or a blurred vision of what might be in store for them; all we get is a bunch of names on the screen of people who could have used more imagination and done their job better. Sad really
