Biscuit456
I have a problem with the GECK. I want to make an NPC for my house mod but when I try to edit his appearance, his hair is half the color I want then the other half is white. When I try to add clothing to him, I choose like pre war clothing but it is just one of those green box ones that don't do anything. How do I dress him and fix the hair color thing? I also just want him to walk around my house. How would I do that?
Ladez
Not sure what you mean by half the hair being white. Does it happen ingame too? Could it be because of lighting, maybe? Try to turn on Brighten lights from the toolbar and see if that 'fixes' it. It will bathe all surfaces in a soft light instead of light coming from one direction. I always design NPCs with this option enabled. The green boxes that don't do anything are leveled items. When you add a leveled item to an NPC inventory, none of the items contained in it will show up in the preview. You need to launch the game before the list is processed and an item is chosen for the NPC to wear. When I design NPCs I always add the actual gear to them so that I can look at the result in the preview. Then, when I'm done, I swap them out for the appropriate leveled items. To make your NPC walk around the house, you need to look into NPC packages. You could probably get away with giving him one of the generic sandbox packages that already exist in the GECK. PS: Also, please write in the default font size and color when posting and reserve the styling for special instances, like headlines. The default font face, size and color were chosen by designers because it fits the theme of the forum, you are not meant to use the styling options to override this. Ladez
I don't see the issue you're desbribing with half the hair being white, those pictures look normal to me. As for the see-through issue, not sure what could cause that. Maybe something to do with an ENB if you're using one.
Biscuit456
the hair is half black half white. I just want black. Ladez
The picture looks standard for white hair. There will always be streaks of black in it, otherwise there would be no way to discern it as hair and it would look like a white patch of nothingness covering his head. To get black hair, set the hair color to black. Don't set it to pure black, or you will get the opposite of what I just described, set it to a very dark grey, like 10 red, 10 green and 10 blue or something like that.
