Creature mods for low spec computers

I am a little disturbed on how the number of mods from greatest to smallest in the Animal, Creature, Mount\Horse go:

mounted

re-textured

and BARLEY any custom creature mods(like Lore Creatures Expanded,Fish,Alligators, I think VAcuitys Spirits and Ephemerals, and probably one or so more I probably didn't mention)

Almost all of the creature section is nothing but mounts. And I downloaded the Lore Creatures Expanded, but it drastically dropped my FPS so bad that I couldn't really attack.

P.S. I mean nothing against the makers of mount mods or ones that re textured creatures, it is just that I was hoping that someone would actually make more different looking monsters texture and mesh wise.

You could make a completely new creature - but you obviously have no idea how hard that is

Here are the steps you need to make:

1) Model your creature

2) Make a skeleton (very hard)

3) Rig the creature

4) Animate the whole thing (we're talking over 20 animations here)

5) Texture it

6) Make it work ingame

Very few people have the knowledge on how to do this - and even fewer have the time or the will

This troll is bound to be FPS-friendly. ..oh and he is not rideable!

Oh, there is a faster way than what TodaY mentioned.

If there is an existing creature / skeleton that can be used for your creature, you can borrow that creatures skeleton and animations...just like what I did with the Stick Figure Troll. I only had to create the creature model, add a texture (a single pixel in that case..hehehe) and attach (rig) it to the skeleton of the similar creature and drop it in that creatures folder....done.

But for an entirely new creature unlike any in existence, yep, it will be a LONG process even for a very small and basic creature. The larger the creature, the longer it takes. A dragon for example could take months of dedicated work from even a talented animator!
