Hi, I just started another moderately modded play through of FO3, similar mods to my last play through excluding CASM and GNR enhanced.

 

Here's the issue; when I reach the farragut west metro station and have that first scripted super mutant encounter, if I attack them and end up killing them, my game straight up crashes no CTD. I did the usual reload/restart, wait 3 days in non-npc area, it's still happening. I decided to leave them alone and moved up to that small super mutant outpost near the anchorage memorial, try killing the centaurs or the super mutant, exact same thing. I even console spawned different types of mutants outside vault 101, crashes every time. Note this does not happen with any NPC that is not marked as a super mutant.

 

Before you suggest MMM might be causing it, I don't have it.

 

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Your load order is perfect, I see no troubles here.

  • Test: remove this ,(
  • Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm Version 1.8 Active) move it clean out of the data folder, Go find "cannon foddder" mutants test....
  • Test: remove this, Expanding Megaton Mod - Inside - V1.7.esp Active move it clean out of the data folder, Go find "cannon foddder" mutants test....

Have you cleaned the data? I ask because cleaning the mods with beta products has produced massive mistakes by users here.

Hold the existing mods / copy them all to a back up folder.

 

study and Identify the exact load order here ,re-install all the mods in this exact sequence and DO NOT clean them...run as normal.

  • Test: Do you understand simple things? IF you cleaned data, DLC data and the mods too? then your the reason the mods are failing.
  • Test: If not, I just told you why.

the only other thing that can cause this issue is a bad install or permissions are set / have been set on "Creatures"

While you are doing the testing, disable and uninstall one of the "Optional Restore Tracers". You don't need both of them and they will conflict.
