Don271246 Posted December 15, 2014 Share Posted December 15, 2014 I have just started using Nexus to mod Skyrim however 3 specific mods are causing CTD's Dawnguard, Hearthfires and Dragonborn.Skyrim opens ok with the unofficial patch and when booted from the SKSE shortcut but, if I load any, all or some of the other 3 patches with or without any other mods any other mods I have so far enabled the game CTD's immediately following the Bethesda logo.This is not a case of Skyrim being overloaded with mods which may be incompatible, all I have downloaded so far are the DLC textures the 4 patches, the high resolution map and SKSE (I've been following the tutorials on You Tube).I've looked for solutions to the problem but, not really found anything to answer it.If anyone is able to offer some suggestions it would be appreciated.For referenceOS win 7 pro8 gig ramQuad core 2.8gz processorGe Force GTX 660 2 Gig Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Georgiegril Posted December 15, 2014 Share Posted December 15, 2014 I suggest you have a look at the STEP guide--Particularly the part about reverting to a clean vanilla skyrim (in order to make sure you have a clean canvas and your problem is not related to any old corrupting influences) and the basic installation instructions.
