Installing dlc after playing a bit

I recently got the Game of the Year addition but only installed the main game. I played it somewhat (I'm level 12 now), and installed quite a few mods.

Can I now safely install the DLC? Do I need to replay the game or remove mods before installing?

IIRC there might be a small problem getting Anchorage to start, something to do with the tutorial scripting.

 

If it doesn't start you can always look up the setstage command to give it a whomp upside the head.

the second disk will install the 1.7 patch and there is a hidden requirement in a new GFWL

can you post the list of mod you've attached to your fallout 3 ? its gonna be easier for us to tell you if there's a mod that conflict with the main game.

I use the Children of the Wasteland mod to play as a kid. Well that's the only one, but it consists of several files, so that's why I said I had quite a few. I believe it's a pretty big mod anyway.

as long as it dont replace anything your good to go if it does then must be at the top of fallout.esm and all other esm's....
