GearF0x Posted December 16, 2014 Share Posted December 16, 2014 I know this topic has been posted before, but it seems as if there can be multiple causes for it. I have put 147 hours in and all of a sudden the launcher just stopped working one day. I was using SKSE when all of a sudden the black box would pop up then immediately close. I then tried launching it through Steam and the launcher would pop up and I would click "Play" and the launcher just closes. I have already verified integrity, did a complete reinstall, moved Skyrim.Pref and ini out of their folders, ran as admin, did the compatibility check, and none of these have worked. I also checked my mods using TESV Edit and everything is fine. Someone please help, i cannot figure out for the life of me what to do. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
DoctorKaizeld Posted December 16, 2014 Share Posted December 16, 2014 have you fully removed all of the mods and reinstalled? this involves going into the Steam folder and making sure nothing from the mods was left behind in the data folder. GearF0x Posted December 16, 2014 Author Share Posted December 16, 2014 I don't think the issue is with a mod though. One day it was working an the next it was not. I had only installed one replacer mod called "Better Vampire Lord" in between that time, and i uninstalled it once I got the problem but it still persisted, so it was not that.
