dunmermaiden
Those guppies now won't stop breeding. They don't do what platies did and stop breeding when the tank is full. I put a goldfish in there and I'm hoping it'll help some. You could also try selling them or having the local pet shop take them and the females. Males are far prettier but it's what I did years ago when I had mouse explosion :P
Pushkatu
@Pushkatu - The blue fish, is that a Siamese Fighting Fish? My older bro is a marine biologist and he used to breed them really really nice fish. Yeah, he is a fighting fish, but I hate to call him like that. I do however put a mirror in front of the tank to turn him on a little, but only for a couple of minutes. I also plan to breed them, but I need another tank to do that and a female. Also I'm sorry to hear about your dog.

Pushkatu
I found a goldfish abandoned in a plastic bag sitting in on a park bench; the kinds of prizes they hand out at my local county fair. Luckily I came along in time. So now it's living happily with my guppies, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have taken on a taste for babies. I also kept goldfish with guppies, but they didn't seem to care or even notice the baby guppies. Goldfish are lovely, but they are also messy and they like having some company, at least another one of thier kind. Post some pictures with them, I'd like to see your tank.
Burnagirl
http://i1235.photobucket.com/albums/ff434/yuri-chick/1DSCI0006.jpg I love my dogs ... The black one is dead, a security guard hit her on the spine and destroyed her nerves, with the result she lost her back legs and so she couldnt walk ... in hope I hung onto her for two weeks until the vet insisted on putting her to sleep, I remember crying like a baby in the parking lot after they put her down. Brownie, in the centre is very quiet and loves sand and frogs though not in that order, and Sasha on the right is my miracle dog.She ran under the car while I was reversing oneday and her spine was crushed ... I took her to the Animal Hospital and they operated on her for half the day to save her.The doctor said she would never run again and she would never have puppies ... think again Doc, she runs just fine and the to other dogs in the picture are her puppiesyeah, Sasha is my miracle dog and I love her ... she knows me so well, almost like she can read my mind. Incredibly deaf, very very loud. She earned the title Squeaky for a reason. And all of the animals are allowed inside, it just happens to be a nice day outside. As Misty demonstrates. http://i1023.photobucket.com/albums/af356/ub3rman123/P1010024.jpg?t=1285286837A couple of my plecostomi in a 30 gallon tank. Easiest fish to photograph ever! http://i1023.photobucket.com/albums/af356/ub3rman123/P1010025.jpg?t=1285286837My lone angelfish. I'd get more, but they're rather expensive. http://i1023.photobucket.com/albums/af356/ub3rman123/P1010027.jpg?t=1285286838A few members of my 8-fish tiger barb swarm. They're in the same tank with the angel, but they behave themselves well enough.
