MadeByRockets Posted September 15, 2010 Share Posted September 15, 2010 Hi everyone new to the Forum hope i get a solution for this annoying problem Ok so last night i decided to do a clean install, stupid me i decided to delete my data folder to get rid of all my mods ( by the way im using the Steam version of Oblivion GOTY ) anyway i deleted the local content and did a fresh install HOWERVER when i went to play the game it got to the bethesda logo and then crashed giving me the unexpected error trying to find solution.... now i cant even play the game ive tryd everything. System restore, 3 reinstalls with no luck i cant seem to find the Oblivion.INI unless its called Oblivion.default? ive tryd doing the OBSE/OBSE crash mod, unofficial oblivion patchs Nothing seems to work... ive even thought of a clean windows installation just because this damm game wont work now Please Help thanks. If you got it through Steam, you can probably just re-download it. This way you'll have the Oblivion.ini file back without any hassle. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So i just take my Oblivion folder from steamapps and drag it into mygames/oblivion ? and then take the Oblivion_default and rename it to Oblivion.ini and drop it into saves?
