Skyrim Random CTD, No Error, no initial lag warning. Does not occur on new save. MODS INSTALLED

Try these tools. This is to try to get a Save stable that you have removed mods from, this is not good for Skyrim. Skyrim "bakes" scripts into a save, and removing a mod does not remove things from the save. I have had others use these tools and have fixed saves in the past , wont always work . IF the saves do not get stable you may have to start NEW , but always remember ..you can ADD a mod to a play-thru, but you can never REMOVE a script mod.

The tools..

Save game script cleaner by Hadoram

SKYRIM Save Cleaner by seifer69er

Listed in order, try the top one first. See if you have any orphaned scripts. Read up on both before use. Make back-ups (both programs should), when i have used them, i did it on copies of my save.

I was looking for this in the log you posted...all good..

overriding memory pool sizes
default heap = 768MB (effective 512MB if not preloading animations)
scrap heap = 256MB

So SKSE.ini IS working. Do you also have this in the SKSE.ini?

[General]
ClearInvalidRegistrations=1
IF not add it, copy/paste the above into SKSE.INI and save.

Yes I do.

Something has now happened it crashes on loading saves now. Even when starting a new game. I tried restoring the backup, running TESVEdit, LOOT and FNIS.

I am open to Skype screenshare, possibly TeamViewer. Please PM me if you would prefer lending a hand that way.

I would appreciate it very much.

Old school here...lol I don't have any of that..:)

Install the 2 save cleaners, have a look at your Saves, see what, if anything is showing as bad.

You still need to post a Load order...the original list of mods is just that a list, and does not help to know what ESP/M's are actually loading. TES5Edit finishes without Error?

Do you have Wrye Bash installed? and are using a a bashed patch? Wrye is also good to "View" if your mods are in the proper order.

The Order i do things....

Install mods.

RUN LOOT (Pre sort for Wrye)

Run Wrye Bash (Creates the Bashed Patch)

RUN FNIS (creates the Animations)

RUN SUM. (Creates the other Dynamic Patches) DSR, AV , Patchus Maximus.

Run LOOT (Sorts the Dynamic Patches)

Play the Game

IF i add a mod I do ALL the above. When I was settling on my setup i must have started Skyrim over 500 times, BUT i know it is Rock solid.

Upload a Save someplace i will have a look ...

Thank you so much for your help.

Because I don't really know what to look for, I will have to upload a save.

The character I want to keep is called 'Oliver'.

New Character is 'Van', I couldn't care less about this one.

I'm not sure how I can post a load order with MO, without copying it plugin for plugin, mod for mod.

Ok I tried one of your saves and it seems to work fine. Things went bad after installing those mods your first listed so... Either uninstall them or check here and make sure you have any patches you might need for AOS Deleted link as camaro pointed out it was wrong version

Audio mods are notorious for screwing up games.

Run loot, TES5EDIT blah blah blah.

Either way download this: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/SysInfo/GPU-Z/

It will monitor your videocard. Start it up and go to the "Sensors" tab. Click the arrow next to "Memory Used" and select show highest reading. Do this also for "GPU Temp".

Now start your game and play til it crashes. Go back to GPU-Z and see how many MB of memory you maxed out at and what temp it says on the other.

Also if you can go to your Skyrim folder under games in "my documents" and paste in with a spoiler tag your skyrim.ini text.

Ps. I also had some stability issues that I've since fixed. Two things I learned:

1) Skyrim hates overclockers. If your CPU or videocard or anything is overclocked your crash rate goes thru the roof. Go back to default speeds.

2) I sat down and read thru the description of this mod part by part and adjusted my game. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50244/?

Between those 2 I fixed it.

Haven't had time to load the Save in the game yet....BUT..

Download the 2 TOOLS i Linked above..you have removed a few mods>>>497 orphan script instances found. Get to cleaning. you may just save this guy...

Lots of Scripts from Sex mods, touring Carriages? Authmoor? TK Dodge...among others...

======================================

EDIT..this may be an issue....

Wrye BAsh (and the game ) are Expecting these 2 mods ...Masters to the Save....

xx AOS2_WetandCold Patch.esp
xx AOS_WetandCold Patch.esp
I do not see the AOS Wet n cold in your list of mods ..IF this was from the previous version of AOS (lower one) the game is still expecting it. You would need to load the game , Save , to clean out the extra Patch. This should have been done before installing the newer version.
Don't mix versions..the patch page linked above is for the older version 1.5 . if you installed from the AOS 2 page ..the download has all files and patches.
aint this fun....

When installing AoS2 it let me patch for Climates of Tamriel, I'm not sure about Wet and Cold. So should I revert to the original Aos?

Also, now I can't even load the save. Don't know what Authmoor is.

Looks like the wet and cold patch comes in the installer for AOS2. I think what camaro is telling you to do is this:

1) Uninstall any AOS mods and patches.

2) Start the game and make a new save. Exit game.

3) Reinstall AOS2 but this time don't forget to tell it you have wet and cold installed, so it will install the patch for it.

4) Run LOOT

5) Play

Take a good read on what is compatable and what isn't: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/43773/?tab=5&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D43773%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D2390154&pUp=1

I don't have any known incompatible mods.

And will this mean I can keep my level 47 character?

The save game cleaners didn't work, by the way.
