Chris Woodward
Hi All, I hope someone can help me, I seem to have a case of Shader Package Leak rot! I have tried to cure it by re-installing the game, but instead of three leaking, I now only have two leaking. I notice that you can reload shaders in the CS, but I do not think that is a cure for the game itself. Please could anyone who knows the cure, steer me in the right direction, as I would be most grateful, Thankyou.

Chris Woodward
Thanks, but I find it hard to understand why such an important criteria of the game, is non-manageable. All Scenery and squared areas are swathed in dark blue instead of shadow and reflections are in deep sepia. It's like an acid trip from the 60's. Sureley there must be an answer? Thanks anyway

Please understand the following process was conducted through trial and error and I am no big whizz on computer graphics. In short, It worked on my rig but may not neccessarily work on yours, but it's worth a bash. I discovered that Oblivion installs in a tri-cyclic condition! i.e every third install and the shader packages seem to stay intact! Don't ask me why, but it does. I know first hand how leaking shaders can completely ruin the whole gaming experience, so give this a try, just roll thro installations, don't bother setting any options, until your shaders hold. A good indicator is that bloom lighting will not set to default on your video options menu, if any shader packages are leaking.Hope this is of use. Best Wishes, ChrisThis an update, update! in the end none of the above has solved the problem. Sad to say I think it is just down to me having a crap graphics card, a ATI Radeon 9800, plus I don't have the cash to splash! I do not know the answer to this problem, but I just wish some big cheese from the graphics world would take up this dilema and give some hope or solution. Best Wishes, Chris
