Animated text

Hey, can someone explain me or link a good tutorial how I can animate letters (or words) in blender?

I post a link so you know what I'm meaning.

When it says x ToY SoLDiier (the white blue letters)

How can I do that?

I have the words ready, just need to do the animating part.

FYI - I never saw the "x ToY SoLDier" text you referred to so I am basing this just off your desire to animate text in Blender.

There are many ways to animate text. For the star wars text, you could create the text on the flat horizontal plane and leave it alone...then just animate the camera moving along and it will seem as though the text is moving.

 

You could also have the text follow a path.

 

You could have the text wrap around a radius of a circle and have it rotate around it.

 

You could add an armature, parent the text to the armature and manipulate the just the armature to move the text.
