Lisnpuppy
HELP!!! All my mods are gone! I tryed installing obse and it messed something up to where I had to reinstall oblivion! Now all my mods are gone!!!! What can I do to get them back!? Unless you made a backup of your data file...you may not be able to do so. (without redownloading.)I hope someone can tell you differently but when you uninstall Oblivion it deletes the date file. I have had it happen a few times...I have a regular backup in compressed .rar file now since I run the most possible mods. I would go ahead and get OBSE put in correct if you haven't before you do anything else. I am really sorry that this happened to you. ArmeniusLOD
OBSE shouldn't mess anything up since it is self-contained: if you don't want to use it then don't launch Oblivion with obse_loader.exe. Keep in mind the only official location to download it is http://obse.silverlock.org/, so if you downloaded it somewhere else this may be what the problem is. bben46
If you used the uninstall provided on the Oblivion disk, it does not remove anything except what was installed from the disk originally. all mods should still be in the data folder which is not removed. If you reinstalled Oblivion to a new location the original data folder should still be in the original location and can be copied to the new location. However if you deleted the oblivion folder - then that deletes all all subfolders also. If you are lucky they may still be in the recycle bin. When you do get it working, be sure to make a backup of your entire data folder to keep from having to reinstall all of your mods again.
oblivionman777
I decided to start fresh with the mods, it was taking up a ton of space. But now the mods I'm trying to download now aren't working!
