Fonger
willing to bet that you've installed your game to the default directory AND you are using either {windows7 or Vista} therefore you are up against the evil machinations of UAC get your game out of that directory or UAC will give you migraines until you do. lobo1010
the uac is the user account something.....so any way, it manages the permissions to handle the files in your system so it prevents users without admin rights to delete or modify files but for some reasons it sometimes even prevents the admins to fully delete the files in the system (specially all the files in the windows and the program files folders) so your best option is to move everything from the program files folder to somewhere else (specially usefull to modify or delete files) or just execute everything as an admin
Ferryt
Never EVER install Oblivion to the default directory if you're running Vista or Win7. I'm on Vista and I did this the first time and ran into this (and other problems) and had to disable UAC. I later re-installed Oblivion to c:\Games\Oblivion (create the directory structure yourself) and everything works just fine. UAC is one of the most annoying features of Vista and Win7. Intended to create an additional security layer by preventing modifications to files in the Programs directory (among other things), it actually winds up creating more problems than it fixes because a LOT of programs HAVE to modify files in that directory. bben46
First, you need to know everything that the mod installed. To find that you will need the original zipped file. Unzip it into a new folder and see what all was installed. Now, go into your folders and find those files. It's not really as dificult as it sounds as MOST mods do keep a fairly standard organization. Open the data\meshes folder and look through it for a subfolder with the name of the mod you wish to remove.Instead of deleteing it, move it to a holding folder just in case you need it later. Do the same thing in the textures folder, and any other folder that was changed by the install. Then, move any .esp and .esm file from the data folder. If you use the OMOD method of installing mods from OBMM, uninstalling is a simple double click. Then reinstalling again is the same.
