Is it possible to have A Human Noble Magi, or a Dwarven Magi? Perhaps a dwarf born on the surface doesn't have the lyrium influence of the normal dwarves, and the Human Noble could be a normal Human Magi, but have the Cousland blood. Just giving him different options "I am noble, you know" and taking the throne.

There are a few ways to do this.

The simplest would be to get All Origins Playable

Drawbacks with this mod are in how the game sees you.

Example 1: Playing as an dwarf or elf in the Human Noble origin, King Cailan does not recognize you as a Cousland, he thinks you are from Redcliffe.

Example 2: Playing as a Dalish Mage, you are always recognized as a circle mage and the Dalish (Brecillian) see you as a city elf.

If you don't mind the dialogue plot turning into a jumbled nightmare, go for it - lots of people do.

Another method would be to use the console. Start the racial origin you want, then open the console and type:

runscript rogue # - to make you a Rogue with level #

runscript warrior # - to make you a Warrior with level #

runscript wizard # - to make you a Mage with level #

Drawback: You can't play the circle origin with a dwarf, you can't play the elven origins with a dwarf or human, you can't play the dwarven origins with an elf or human and you can't play the human origin with an elf or a dwarf.

The third and most complicated method requires a working copy of the toolset to edit a save and DragonAge Face Replacer which in turn requires python to be installed. Getting the toolset to work can be a bit problematic but the Face Replacer and Python are easy as cake. This is the method I use and gives you the most benefit for the least disadvantage.

Pick your origin and start any character that will work and the sex you want (you can change sex with the toolset but that is another story altogether.) For purposes of this discussion we will name it "Dude," this is the one we will be changing. Get the start-up dialogue out of the way, do a quicksave and exit. Then start a character of the race you want with the same sex as the character who's origin you wish to play. Name this character "Face" and get its starting dialogue out of the way, quicksave and exit. Exit the game.

Start the toolset, browse to the character named "Dude" and open the quicksave. Location: My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Characters\Dude\Saves\QuickSave_1 the file you want is named savegame.das Once that opens, you will see an expandable tree.

Expand: SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR

Expand: SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR

Expand: SAVEGAME_APPEARANCE

Find: SAVEGAME_APPEARANCE_TYPE

Change value to: 2 for elf, 3 for dwarf and 15 for human (Quinari is 13 but has problems)

Find: SAVEGAME_APPEARANCE_ORIGINAL_TYPE

Change value to: 2 for elf, 3 for dwarf and 15 for human this must be the same value as SAVEGAME_APPEARANCE_TYPE

Save and exit toolset.

Start the game, load the save for "Dude" - looks messed up doesn't it? Do a quicksave and exit. Exit game.

Now using the directions that came with the Face Replacer, use Face Replacer to put the face from "Face" on "Dude."

Drawbacks: You are perceived as being the race of your origin. Example: An elf transposed onto a human noble will be perceived as the human son of Bryce Cousland, a dwarf or human in the ailienage or the dalish camp will be seen as an elf. Not sure how it will work out for a dwarf in the tower but it will probably be based on the race you chose when you started "Dude."

Good luck
