FallingDevil
i've just reinstalled fallout 3, finally stabilized it and fixed most of the major mod conflicts with merged and bashed patches, and the game runs very smoothly. HOWEVER, there is a very strange reoccuring problem. whenever i choose to quit to windows from the fallout 3 pause menu, it quits but then i'm told that "fallout 3 has stopped working" and sent to a desktop where it takes me a year to figure out how to access my mouse and close fallout, even though i wanted the game closed in the first place. it's the weirdest thing ever, does anyone know what causes it or how to fix it? M48A5
If you are using Fallout Stutter Remover, open sr_Fallout_Stutter_Remover.ini and change the line bFastExit = 0 to bFastExit = 1.

Ranx31
I have the same problem happen to me occasionally - don't know why it does it. But, here's what I do to quickly regain control: Hit Alt-Tab to switch focus back to the desktop. Then quickly move your mouse around so you can find it. Hit 'Cancel' on the open dialog since Windows is busy logging a bunch of data it doesn't do squat with anyway!
