Game Crashes While Saving.

Pretty much every time now. Autosave in a new level, quick save, or menu save, doesnt matter. Crashes to dsktop nearly every time. once in a while it will work, for a save or two, but then it crashes again. I think it started at Vault 106, and has been pretty consistent about crashing ever since.

 

This is the 1.7 version. I have tried the unofficial patch and without the unofficial patch, and it doesnt matter. It still crashes. The mods I am running are Project Beauty, Preject Beauty-Broken Steel, Project Beauty-Point Lookout, 14mmPistolModRR, EVE, EVE Operation Anchorage, and Smaller Laser Weapons.

 

It ran fine with all of those mods all running until I went into Vault 106 and then it started messing up. I really have no idea what went wrong or even what is happening. it is very annoying and makes the game pretty much unplayable.

 

Any help identifing the problem and fixing it would be greatly appreciated.

have you tried the masterupdate function of FO3edit yet?

Autosave crashes are pretty common mate - now stand by for an absolute strange possible fix.

 

- as silly as it sounds kill your character - yse that's right suicide your character. Best way is to just drop some frags at your feet, I know your thinking "this guy is nuts". However it is a proven method to get past a corrupted save game profile which is what's happening to you. I didn't believe it the first time someone told me but it does work and worked for me with an indentical problem.

 

PS: You may want to turn autosave off as this is a known problem - I personally use CASM and only quicksave. Do some searches and you'll see that it is a known problem.
