Clothing mod conflict

I think I know what will help with this. The proportions fix, if tmp's version, has files for all of the armors and clothing that are not stand alone mods. I found a way around it that might help because Ii like to use Firinneach's Combined Mesh version of mage robes. An example, like Morrigan's robe, you can remove the Morrigan file from the proportions fix folder, and then use the Morrigan robe mod you have. If the two remain in the override, they will conflict. That might be causing the crashing especially in the case of the noble clothing that the nurse wears in Ostagar near the place you said it was crashing at. The game is trying to use two files for the same clothing, and crashing because it does not know which one to use. Same would apply to the sexy robes, commoner clothes, chantry robes, etc. I think there is even a file in the proportions fix for underwear that would fight with Dracomies underwear mod.

Now looking back you stated that the proportions files you had were only for the undressed models, and on top Dracomies underwear mod that might be a conflict. However, make sure the proportions files you have are just for the underwear and not the full files. (I made that mistake when I first got it thinking I was getting the clothing one and got the undressed one instead which conflicted with Realistic Look)

All of the proportion fix files have nud or nuda in the name, and all came in a file called underwear. All files are MSH, MMH, and DDS.

Only irregularity I can find is the dwarf file, which has something called lod_2 in it, containing similar files from above, except with 2 instead of 0 in the name.

Also, Dracomies underwear was supposed to be optimized to work with the proportion fixes, which was the main reason I got them.

Ok, haven't tried Drac's mod, so was not sure. The LOD files are length of view files so that the model will look the same from close or far in the game. I'm just trying to go through your list and narrow down possibilites. Please refresh my memory, what was the last mod you added? and was the game working fine before that last added file?

The problem is that I added a bunch of mods at once.

Even before them the game was sometimes crashing in the area around the nurse, but only when I tried to leave it, and I fixed the problem by taking the detour route. No idea why that worked.

The ones I added all at once (to override) are:

Sexy Enchanter Robes

Sexy Morrigan Robes

Sexy Noble v2

Sexy Commoner v2

Sexy Chantry v2

Sexy Apprentice v2

Dracomies Underwear--Swirls version

Underwear/Nude proportion fixes: Dwarf, Elf, and Human.

Dracomies improved underwear

Anora Morph (black hair--ponytail)

tmp's:

reduced weapon vfx's

less cartoony loghain

succubus bedlah

rescaled swords and daggers

gore adjustment (severe plus)

I also installed Expanded Shapeshifting, which seems to have added two NSS and a NCS file to my override folders. Not sure if those matter.

The two NSS and NCS files are scripting files to make the Expanded shapeshifting work.

Now you did remove a weird tint file the fixed the clothing issue, correct? So we are at the crashing issue that was happening before the addition of these mods. What other mods before these did you have?

Nope :(

It seems to have helped, but it hasn't removed the issue.

Now the problem differs between clothing:

Apprentice robes: Look fine on first approach, however, if you run away and then come back they will begin to shift through textures.

Commoners: Look bad from far away, but as you get close they correct.

Noble clothing (i.e. Nurse) is the opposite, looks fine from far away but gets worse on approach.

The only way I've found to fix all issues is to remove all the files I listed on the bottom of the first page. Now I'm mixing and matching to see if I can figure out the sets of files that cause each.

The looking bad far away then good close up means that particular one is missing the medium to far LOD files. As for the one that look good far then up close get messed up means the LOD for medium and far are ok, but the main close up file is messed up. I wonder have you maybe tried deleting the downloaded files, then redownload them. I wonder if the download currupted the files, and a new download might fix that problem.

Re-downloaded.

For some reason the apprentice robes are in a compressed file instead of 7z unlike the rest.

No change.

I believe the two main files that were conflicting to cause texture issues and crashes were the sexy clothing mods, dracomies improved underwear, and HSLI sexy robes.

Decided to go with the robes and underwear and just dropped all the sexy clothing mods. :(

All my problems seem to have been solved. Still need to see if it works through saving and loading.

Gonna try Firinneach's files, see if I have more luck.

Cool, at least it's progress. ;) I know that the sexy clothing mods said they had LOD files, but I am betting that is where the conflict was by that last description you gave. Firinneach's are good, I used them for some time before using the propotions fix for the armors. I miss the light armor a little less for the Dalish armor, but oh well. I still use his apprentice robes for males and females. As for his mod, he has the LOD files as seperate downloads, so you will have two downloads for each one you get, one for close, then the LOD for farther distances that you add to the main file's folder in the override.
