Missing clothes meshes - Robert's Male Body

I recently reinstalled Oblivion after a few miserable months of not playing it. I've nearly got all my mods back, but I've come across a problem with Robert's Male Body - a large number of clothes meshes are missing after installing it. Looking at the comments on the mod, it seems to be a common problem; looking again at the comments on the mod, it seems that nobody who looks at the comments knows what to do about it. Otherwise I'd have posted there.

I don't know where exactly I found this, but someone somewhere said to use archive invalidation with obmm. That doesn't do anything, in case anybody was going to say that.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I use Robert's male body replacer, and I've never come across this problem. This kind of "common problem" is almost always associated with not reading instructions properly. Go to this link and download the OMOD/BAIN version.

Hickory,

Since you were able to answer the above question so well, may I ask you one also? Should you only have one of the two mods installed? I cannot remember now if I installed both of them or just the second one. I've only just started the game, so I'm not yet sure if I will have a problem. But I might as well know now if I have done it wrong. Thanks for any help you can give. I'm a real newbie at this stuff, so please forgive me if this is a dumb question.

I presume you mean v4 and v5b of Robert's Male replacer? It's always best to uninstall the old one before installing the new one, unless the author says it's ok to overwrite. Less margin for errors and slip-ups later on, that way.

No, I meant on that link that you sent to the previous poster there was a v5 beta version listed under Main files and a OMOD_BAIN v5 version listed under Optional files. I may have installed both of them. Should I only have installed the OMOD-BAIN-v5 version? I had never installed anything prior to that.

Oh, right, I see. No, you don't need both -- they both install the full deal. The OMOD/BAIN file is by far the best option, as the other needs manually installing, including options.

Edit: To clarify, if you installed both, and chose the same options with both, there should be no problems.

Thank you so much. I cannot believe I have not found you before now. I guess I should have come to the Oblivion Mod Troubleshooting Thred. I've only just started playing the game for the first time, and have added only a few mods with the help of Sly. I don't know if you know him, but he has been very helpful. But I never actually came over here before. You can believe I wlll be back. I'm really trying to learn some of this stuff on my own. My husband is a computer tech, but not a gamer. Not only that but he hates gaming so knows nothing about them. He builds me good computers and keeps them running but cannot help me with this stuff. So thank you again for your help.

I haven't heard of a 'Sly', but then there's som many contributors. I'm glad I was of some help, and happy gaming. :).
