Grimous
Hi all Simple question - is it possible to fix the mouse lag WITHOUT disabling vsync? I want my mouse to move 100% responsive like in CoD 4 or StarCraft 2 or any other game. Even Oblivion has no problem with it. There is always annoying delay that really makes the game unplayable. I'm trying to find solution to this for more than a year now. I'm going to post below everything that I've tried and failed: FPS Limiter - works with disabled vsync, but still makes game slow down when FPS are less that what you specify, also doesn't work with FOSE which is essentail for my mods - failDisabling vsync - obviously, makes game speed up or slow down depending on frame rate - failUpdating mouse and/or graphic drivers - no changeMouse accel fix - fixes accel but not delay obviouslyPre-rendered frames to 2,1 or 0 - no change at allChanging graphic details and resolution to minimum - no changeEnabling trible buffering (nvidia panel or by the thingy included in riva tuner) - no changeSwapping mouse USB ports - no change I'm running out of ideas... I've been trying to fix this for so long and if you guys can't help me then I think there is NO SOLUTION TO THIS AT ALL. Turning vsync off in game launcher doesn't turn it off really - this option is bugged. To actually disable it, you must set ipresentinterval to 0 in Fallout.ini or force vsync off in graphic card panel. When I actually disable it, it fixes mouse lag 100% but the game speed is affected by framerate then, it has been confirmed by lots of people on other forums too. Lets say that I have 100 FPS then everything in the game moves like twice as fast, running, shooting everything goes ultra fast. The same goes when I reach 30-35 FPS but then the game goes veeeery slow.

(if not more  ) BTW your general problem sounds like a case of too much eye candy forcing the game to slow down to allow the available resources to fill the frame rate - to your fixed value When resources are not enough while frame rate is forced to max, it causes the mouse to be ignored - system has "better" things to do When the game is not demanding, frame rate skyrockets so time is forced to accelerate to accommodate the higher available frame rate. either select a lower forced frame rate or remove eye candy/ear candy until things get more playable or unlock your forced frame rates also consider inserting some performance enhancing mods - ones that reduce system overhead - in video/audio/script

Becouse I can't use frame limiter becouse it doesn't work with FOSE. And BTW you say that I'm confusing forcing vsync off and ipresentinterval, but changing these has exactly the same effect on my game. Can you explain it to me, becouse I'm confused right now. Also even when I don't have any mods installed, the issue ramains, and my configuration is more than enough for Fallout 3 at max.
Grimous
It seems that when I run the game in wondowed mode, lag fixes itself 100%. Downloaded "Maximized Window" http://fs4.fallout3nexus.com/download.php?file=MaximizedWindow-45.zip&domain=fallout3nexus.com to run fallout in windowed mode without any of Windows' elements in the front, and it works perfectly. For anyone who has the same lag issues, I recommend you do the same!
