PresidentDylan5
I have had this problem for a long time and I created a post a long time ago and never found a solution; I put up with this but I can't bear it anymore! The frame rate seems to drop to about 40-45 after 20 minutes or so and then stays there, while in the same area it was 60fps a few minutes earlier. Previously I have tried the NVSE heap size fix, various options in stutter remover and purging cell buffers. Reinstalled twice. Does anyone have any idea how this could be fixed? I am on Windows 8, GTX 770, 3770k. I use the 4gb patch. Is there an easy way to give a list of my mods? :DI'll say that I have a bunch of texture packs; NMC, Poco, EWI, stuff; interior lighting overhaul, flora overhaul, AWOP, about 100. PS: Is there any way I can check if a script has gone mad or something? Edited December 24, 2014 by PresidentDylan5

PresidentDylan5
I have another problem as well now where the fps goes down over the course of one save; I tested this by loading the save just after Doc Mitchell's and it was fine. Combined with my current issue I ended up with 20 fps in Goodsprings! :D
KangarooSwag
Yeah this has been a recurring problem for many people now. Same for my PC, it's insanely powerful (to run a game like New Vegas) and I still get pretty major fps drops, much like what you've described. I've tried mostly anything to correct it, but it seems like FNV just lags for absolutely no reason.
ChoZen0ne
You can try locking in task manager CPU affinity to a couple of CPU cores (like #1 and #3) for FNV process and see if you get over 50% load on that cores. If you do - it's likely your only choice is to OC your 3770K as there's a thread that consumes CPU. If you have HT mode on (8 cores in task manager) - locking to cores 1,3,5,7 or 0,2,4,6 can help,
