stansalad
So I was creating my own armors with custom stats using this tutorial and it worked successfully. But then I ended up being dissatisfied with the stats I gave the armor so I tried changing it with no success. So then I was like, screw it, ill just start over, which I did. I then proceeded to make a new one again, this time with slightly different stats. Well to my surprise when I opened my save game, the stats of the old armors were permanently stuck to the characters that were wearing it when I was testing it, even though the the characters were armorless and the old mod was removed. Now when I wear the new armor, the characters are wayyy overpowered cause they have the stats of the old ones that are stuck and the new ones. What may be causing that and how can I fix it? Thanks

Thanks That's a fault of the game when using the utc files. Once a utc file has been loaded in a game it will keep those stats. You have either two options, run a console command (which I do not know unfortunately), or load a save game from prior to getting the armor you have modded. DarkeWolf or RustyBlade will know what the console commands are I am sure.
Thandal
Unfortunately, editing .utc files is beyond the console's capability. Now you're into the Toolset... But here's a useful link so you can find the console commands when needed: "DA Wiki Console page"
RustyBlade
There is only one that will work (and that is if it will still work after all the patching) and it is pretty well buried on the page:runscript zz_economizer - Unequips all gear you're wearing. SIDE EFFECT: automatically sets your inventory capacity to the maximum (125). Won't unequip items, if there is no place left in the inventory. Can be used to remove the bugged disguise armor after Rescue the Queen quest (the infamous game-breaking disguise armor bug) , though it won't restore any of your original (pre-disguise) gear, of course. Trumpdog
before removing any weapon or armor mods, make sure you load your saved game and unequip it all and then save game. I had that problem a few times...ruined my game because i had inflated stats><
stansalad
Thanks guys. Well I ended up just going to each character manually and changing their stats back (which was not nearly perfect and was way too much trouble). I'll make sure to follow Trumpdog's advice in the future...haha
DarkeWolf
Sorry for coming in too late on this one. Not that I really knew of a cure for it either  But... I've got a savegame on pretty much all my characters called test charactername where if there's any experimenting going on... thats the save that I do it on. Has worked pretty well for me, so I can definitely pass it along as good advice ;)

I forgot to mention that I have at least one junk character with saves everywhere just for testing purposes.
