Hell-fire
DAVE 7HE RAVE!! I have never actually used a sigil stone to enchant my weapons i'll try that with a new sword i'm gonna enchant - The LaChance Longsword! 8) I have enough money, from a cheat, to make the most powerful sword in the world, the only problem is the Soul Gems i have aren't powerful enough. :glare:
Vagrant0
So anyway, here's a good question. What would make oblivion gates more enjoyable? More diveristy (15 or 20 worlds instead of the same 7), better loot (lighter equipment, lootable armors, other stuff), less hack and slash, more puzzle work, or what? thursti
More fun less run around and just hack scamps, daedra and all. It should be more puzzle work but one that doesnt require tons of running.
Switch
Changing the scenery and surroundings so it's not one humungous, boring, unimaginative cliché might be a start. :P But that would take a lot of work (and too much modelling to mention). A man can dream... Apart from that, I would say more puzzle elements, and less unrewarding battles with armour crunching Daedra. Maybe give the Daedra (like Dremora and Flame Atronachs) better loot so there's more incentive to kill them. This is getting a bit off-topic though. I suppose the question has been answered, so maybe I'll leave it be...

Though the maps may be different, it gets boring after the 4th gate (this when when i decided to just finish the quest).
Tiberiu911
The most Oblivion gates I'ce closed was 11, mainly those around cities and some quest specific along with others. My strategy is run to the sigil stone, kill anything that gets in my way. Oh and I save often from now on, because last time, I walked in the beam by accident, and I died, so I had to start over from my autosave at the beggining of the tower. Birdcatmeow
I have two questions, not exactly related but I can't be bothered to start two threads. First - what is the maximum number of Oblivion gates you have closed before getting bored and finishing the quest? (Anyone who says they have done them all I'd like to see proof!) Second - what is your strategy? Mine is a) do them at as low a level as possible and b) simply run like hell to get to the sigil stone and try to avoid conflict where possible. (On the one occasion I played at a high level I used 100% chameleon to get past the monsters.) Well i closed about 20, which is not much but you do get bored besides i couldnt enchant any more all my items were enchanted. And my strategy is very boring and uncool (kind of like one of yours ;)) i used 85 chameleon so i could just sneak right past them. Also for little fun i hit them at the top of the tower and watch them fall all the way down :happy:Though Xiviali are very inteligent, i avoid being close to them, they can detect me.
