missing inventory items

Can anyone help me? In Olivion i have an inventory problem:

When i pick up a new item and although it burdens me i cannot see it in my inventory. When i drop an pick-up some other stuff from my inventory it gets visible but the others get "invisible" while still burdening me... this also happens with quest items...

Any suggestions?

sounds like you are severely overloaded with "stuff"

It's a known issue, pretty well documented in the case of containers, at least. The items are still there. There appears to be some critical limit (I don't know what it is) beyond which the game engine can't display additional items. Try dropping items on the ground, or removing them from a container, when this happens and the game engine will display them, again.

 

It's not a bug -- its a feature. :) Well, maybe not, but it will force you to exercise a bit more discretion. You weren't intended to be a walking warehouse in this game, and containers weren't designed to be massive caches of stuff, either. Get a place to stay that has storage containers and put most of your things that you aren't going to use on a specific quest into them. Just carry what you need. What you don't need you really should be selling, anyway. Gold weighs nothing (at least in the Vanilla game) and takes up no space in your inventory, so it's always better to "liquidate" your excess inventory at the earliest opportunity.
