kiskoller
I use Requiem, play Altmer, with 90 carrying capacity, and even that feels too much.My char does not wear any armor though, and rarely has any weapon. Usually its just a dagger, a woodcutter axe, and a walking stick. No magic staff, nothing. Only thing that I tend to haul is alchemy ingredients, but that is why I use Rental mods and use chests in inns to store stuff. I use frostfall, iNeed, but I feel these mods are pointless if you can just carry everything. Whats the point of worrying about food when you can carry a whole feast lasting for weeks? Carry weight limitations make scavenging more interesting. It also makes my character feel like he is progressing: Getting better at magic makes more and more equipment unneeded. At first my char is weak, can only kill a wolf with 100% magicka bar, so he needs to carry weapons with him constantly. After couple of levels he can forget about camps because he can conjure one, after more levels he can forget about weapons, he can kill people with magic.Give him even more levels, and he can shield himself from cold, so he can drop the fur armor set. Once he becomes a master magician, he either becomes a vampire, or a lich, and forget all about the menial chores a mortal needs. At that point he does not need anything at him. Maybe 5-10 potions, but he does not need to grab every alchemy ingredient, since he is already a master of that trade.
ShoshinUK
I found a nice balance with race adjusted carry weights, and then added weight mods to lock picks, gold and arrows. My issue right now is to add more gold into my game (I use skyrim unleashed) to balance it better. (help). I play on very difficult settings and would like to make a lot of god for my efforts, without needing to loot and sell countless armour and weapons etc. Edited January 12, 2015 by ShoshinUK
